OXM gave it a 8.5 I think.

Yes, yes, you're not excited for the game, we get it at this point.Kabuki Waq said:IGN gave the game a 8.4......but its one of those "IGN Exclusive($$$)" reviews so i would take it another point lower for true score.

BenjaminBirdie said:Wow. That video review totally knocked this game so far up my buy list. Looks like such a fucking blast.
Please do Bleach next, Ubi.

Wait, what?Skilotonn said:The game is absolutely gorgeous in 1080p - very vibrant and sharp!
Just finished my first fight, and I guess every video I've seen thus far on the game have been 30fps vids, because the game already looks ultra smooth with no slowdowns, tearing, or a single jaggie, but when I had my first fight, the 60fps really shined with the fast pacing of the fights...
The game really is a beauty in motion... impressive stuff Ubisoft!

The DS games are a couple of the best 2D fighting games since the 90s.BenjaminBirdie said:Speaking of, does the DS game feature a similar fighting game approach? Like is it more insanely fun combos than kick punch kick?

Skilletor said:The one by Treasure plays very similar to Guilty Gear. I was surprised at how good it is.

BenjaminBirdie said:I've never played a Guilty Gear, but if you've seen that IGN video review, is the fighting like that? (But obviously less graphically, erm, robust?)
Skilletor said:Hmm, which game are we talking about now? lol
Well the review said 6-7 hours or around that, and then the guy said you can continue to play to unlock missed achiements and missions.Lebron said:kind of bummed about the SP portion being so short. Oh well, at least it sounds/looks like it'll be enjoyable. Should have my copy by weeks end.
Well that's a matter where MS can't really do much. The rights for video and audio content are like that and they simply can't go over it without angering some very powerful companies.AtomicShroom said:Tell that to MS with their US-only video marketplace.
The web is getting regionalized day after day.
well yeah, one of my friends already has the game and he said it took him around 3 hours or so to get to theDiablohead said:I'm sure theres people out there who will only do the main quests and end up beating the game in 4 hours then complain it was too short...
BenjaminBirdie said:Bleach DS, the one they just released in NA? Blade Of Something?
Skilletor said:Yeah, that one is a lot more combo oriented. They've actually got a mission type mode in it where you're required to do some pretty crazy stuff. If you've never played Guilty Gear and you like this game, go pick up guilty gear afterwards.
Well you earn stuff and money to upgrade with, so it would be like grinding I guess. Might get extra items too.Lebron said:well yeah, one of my friends already has the game and he said it took him around 3 hours or so to get to the. I don't know, guess I was just expecting a bit more length from the SP(main quests), like 10 hours or so. Considering they were covering 80 episodes and such. I don't really care for the optional missions, since they're mostly just more errand boy runs, no? Not that big of a deal I guess. Sure wouldn't be the first game I've played this gen that had a short SP.chuunin exams
Anyway, not that big of a deal, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit bummed. Oh wellz, just means more time invested in the MP portion![]()
How many characters can you play through in the Forest of Death sequences?Kers said:Just finished the SP in 5 hours and done a lot of the optional missions. Rushed through the first 2 hours, because I already played that in the preview version. So I guess normally it would take about 6 to 7 hours.
Btw the ending hints that Ubisoft will be doing a sequel.![]()

True but I do like how in this game you are Naruto and Naruto only. Sadly yes it does leave room for milking. Can you say "Sasuke's Trail, only on PSP!"...ugh.ShockingAlberto said:A sequel needs to be Path of the Ninjas or something.
Going through the Rescue Sasuke arc only doing the Naruto fights would be incredibly boring. It became more focused on the Konoha Army than Naruto alone after episode 80.

Snaku said:Well I finished up to episode 80 just moments ago. What a great run that was. I'm totally in love with this show now.
Gaara vs. Naruto was great. I especially loved how Sasuke was basically shitting himself the whole time. :lol Yeah, you're not so hot are ya? Felt really bad for Gaara though. The fight between Orochimaru and the Third was awesome, though them dragging out the death scene for four or five episodes was hilarious (like Namek blowing up in "five minutes" spread across 10 episodes in DBZ bad). But yeah, it does end on a downer.
Can't wait to finish watching the rest of the show, and move onto Shippuden. On what episode does filler hell begin?
Oh, and bring on RoaN! Can't wait to play it.
Ubi only has the rights to create Naruto games on Xbox 360.
