Actually,ShockingAlberto said:- Team Sasuke, Team 7, Team Kurenai, Akatsuki, and Kabutomaru all hunting each other in the forest: one fight between Deidara and Sasuke and then everyone leaves.
Right now Jiraiya and Pain is interesting and I'm betting that Pain kills him and takes his body (especially considering the revelations of the Toad Sage that just came out), but Kishimoto might try to shoehorn Sasuke in for no reason.[/spoiler]

I loved it in Crackdown, and here again it sidetracks me from my missions, especially with how huge and beautiful Kohona looks in this game!
I also spent some hours online, and now I mostly got my tactics down pact - there are some sneaky bastards online, who looked to have the game even earlier than I got it, and had some really nasty tactics, but after a while, I started to come up with my own "nasty tactics" and started handing it to them, going on streaks without any losses until I decided to go back to single player, which I had barely touched before going online... which had me last I checked before going to bed as still in the top ten in the world, even while I was playing hours and hours of single player...
And I must say that Ubi did a brilliant thing with the way you execute your jutsus in this game - so original, and so perfectly done to the series that it's a surprise that they're the latest ones in making a Naruto game, yet came up with a system that is so much more faithful to the anime than anything else out there - it was the first thing that hooked me into the game when it was first shown playable to tell you the truth - it gives you the feel that you are really memorizing the jutsu and having to make the space and time to do it, just like they explain in the anime itself, instead of just having to press two buttons or something like that like the other Naruto fighters have - brilliant Ubi, brilliant!
Thanks to my addiction to collecting the coins, I didn't end up going too far into the game story-wise, which I think I'm about only a fifth of the way in, if I calculate it right, and I still have a lot of the side quests to do still - it's just the way how I'm playing the game, no doubt you can rush through the main story and finish it faster...
Again, I am really impressed with the quality of this game - the gigantic Konoha and the outside areas are huge, gorgeous and have no aliasing, slowdown or tearing, and are really sharp and clean texture-wise, and the fighting is a blasting, constant 60fps with zero slowdown whatsoever...
My only super-minor complaint is the same as mentioned - I love how they seamlessly incorporated the actual anime for cutscenes here and there, but it's a shame that it's not hi-def, so the scenes don't look too sharp - again, nothing too major, because they barely show up - next time I hope they upscale it even better, but hey, it's TV-quality on an HD machine...
So glad I bought the game right away, and no doubt I will support the game in the future and its sequels, which I'm pretty sure the game will have - I really hope it sells well too, as I expect it will... really a top-quality made game that deserves its sales, which I've never seen for an anime game...
Picking it up in a few hours and i hear the fighting is kind of shallow? Do the characters have a limited move pool? either way nice to see yet another positive review.Skilotonn said:Didn't post again since last night because I spent more than six or seven hours on the game last night, and I went bed right after - according to the timer on my save, about 3 and a half hours of that was in single player - I don't care what people say about collecting the coins, but that kind of stuff is addictive to me as a completist! Kishi has taken a lot of potential storylines and just gave up before they became anything.

Thanks. The wait for my 360 to return is killing me right now. How are the controls, and is the camera a hinderence on the adventure parts of the game?Blimblim said:Here are my videos, basically the whole first hour of the game

Docpan said:This game looks amazing. I'll wait for the JP audio DLC, though. The English dubbing is intolerable.
Spruchy said:Actually this is my first time listening to the dub extensively and I have to say this anti dub stuff is the usual otaku elitist crap.
Everyone's voice with the exception of Konohamaru's teacher Ebisu (or however it's spelt) is pretty damn good. Sure the Japanese voices are better, but the dub is far from "intolerable".
And oh yeah the game is gonna lose some of its touch when you have naruto saying dattebayo and then a second later a villager saying hey whats up in english.

But each to his own I suppose.
yup yup.levious said:is the fighting strictly one on one?
Shouta said:Naruto in Japanese is pretty cringe-worthy too, heh. Even more so than the English voice in a lot of regards. I rewatched the Sasuke Retrieval arc last night and seeing it again made me realize how badly cast some of the characters are in Japanese.

I am probably one of the few that liked Ninja Centerfold over Sexy no Jutsu. Centerfold is a adult classic.Jube3 said:The only thing that really bugs me is "shadow replication jutsu!" lol
You're better off reading it than watching it anyway.El_TigroX said:I am not a Naruto fan - it's not that I'm a hater, I just haven't had the opportunity to watch it, or feel that I can't just jump in and watch it without getting the DVDs and watching from the start.
heh, I thought I was the only one who thought that. I mentioned that to some of my friends, and before I even finished, they were already getting the rope out:lolShouta said:Naruto in Japanese is pretty cringe-worthy too, heh.
