It's been a long decade watching the slow decline of Nintendo. However recent events headlined by the amazing success of the DS led to a rejuvenated force. This was capitalised upon with a fantastic early PR campaign for the new console, which peaked at E3 when it stole the limelight from what was the be the PS3s coming out party. It seemed it would catapult Nintendo to the heights they once enjoyed, reigniting a stagnating industry in the process. However events of the past couple of days have thrown a massive spanner in the works. After months of promises about a new era of gaming at budget prices the Nintendo of old has returned but with greater arrogance, and now with a new disdain for its loyal following.

It was bad enough to see Nintendo ****ing over their Gamecube fans, with a delay to Zelda till December. But then Super Paper Mario and Donkey Kong bonga race(or whatever its called) not only get shifted wholesale to the Wii, they get delayed to next year. Then we get the following list of crimes that totally suck up the euphoria when expectations were at their peak.

The budget console is devalued as no online for launch is confirmed.
No optical out confirmed even though the even more niche Pro Logic II is supported, and DVD is removed from the system to "reduce price for the consumer"
The system doesn't come with component.
The system isn't region free.
Metroid Prime is delayed to next year.
The system is coming out after the ps3.
Controllers are priced at $60.
You have to pay for the browser.
Virtual console games are at least 5/8/10 dollars each when you can get a collection of 10 or 20 games for $20 or less currently.
Launch gamers, many loyalists who have no doubt spents thousands of dollars on Nintendo are forced to buy Wii sports. They are effectively being ****ed over for a $50 premium or more.

There may be more, but that is what popped out in front of me. Wii is ass****ing gamers 360 different ways! So, here it is, Nintendo has completely screwed up Wii since its initial unveiling.

$250 to play Wii sports is a rip off.
$290 to play Wii sports properly is a bigger rip off.
$300 to play Zelda is a rip-off. You can play the GC one for $50.
What else is there? Excite Truck? Wario Ware? Is it really worth spending 300 dollars or so for these? Sorry, an upgraded Zelda with some novelty games for company is no next-gen or new-gen system. Stringer was right, you're paying for "potential"

I'm as hardcore a Nintendo fan as there can be, but this truly saddens me. NBots, here is the day you can sign in and turn over your jacket!
