Schaub signs a 6 year/$48 million contract with the Texans.

Jesus.
I knew it...

Edit: I'd laugh my ass off if Oakland suprised us and took CJ at #1.
:D

I'm hoping they do. It would be the funniest thing ever...well, next to Mario Williams @ #1...but this is funny in a good way. :D

Theres slim chance you guys will get him for less than your 1st, both 2nds, and a day one pick next year.

That's a shit load of picks for one player I don't care what the point system says. If the 1st and both 2nds or the first, second and fourth isn't good enough, the Browns can catch fire.

I am praying the giants can get some linemen. Jacobs could pound out 1600 yards next year if the giants have a decent line.
Personally, I would love Levi Brown if he's available but I'm not holding my breath.

Other 2nd or 3rd round OG/OT are Joe Staley (possibilty in late 1st), Arron Sears, Tony Ugoh, Justin Blalock, Josh Beekman, and Ben Grubbs. I wouldn't mind any of them, especially Justin Blalock.

Diehl/Blalock/O'Hara/Snee/McKenzie would be a darn nice line, if you ask me, but I am content with Rich Seubert. Remember Tiki had big days with him starting in the past two seasons (notably vs Chiefs).

OLB, CB, and WR must be high on their list.

Browns aren't swapping with anyone but the Lions, guys. Sorry to burst your bubble...

Why would the Browns trade with the Lions to move up one spot when they don't need to. This makes no sense to me. I could see Butch Davis doing something this stupid but not the Browns of today.

Gotta have someone to catch the deep ball.

Speaking of funny, you saw Tuiasosopo signed with the Jets right? :lol That and this:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-raiders-moves&prov=ap&type=lgns

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -- The Oakland Raiders have signed quarterback Josh Booty, the former prep star who has been out of football since 2003 and has never thrown a pass in the NFL.

Booty will challenge for the #3 spot.

Raiders have Andrew Walker as their top QB on the roster.

If this doesn't scream Russell/Quinn, I don't know what does.

Vikes should trade our 1st rounder/2nd rounder/Tarvaris Jackson to trade up with Oakland, otherwise send a 1st rounder/3rd rounder/3rd rounder next year to trade up with Detroit. WE NEED CALVIN ****ING JOHNSON

i'm already sick of 7. we either trade down or trade up, but 7 sucks huge pee pee

:lol :lol :lol What happened to TJack Future? :lol :lol :lol And who are we going to play at QB if we trade him and don't draft a QB to replace him?

I was wondering how you'd take the Booty news Kara. He's spent a lot of time in LA the last few years and I'm sure he's pretty familiar with Sarkisian!

But does he have the late release that changes games? :lol

"from the St. Paul Pioneer Press:

Based on a morning appearance on KFAN, Vikings coach Brad Childress would seem to have little interest in trading for Houston Texans quarterback David Carr.

"David Carr is a tremendous person," Childress said. "I always struggled with where his release came from. It's kind of a drop-down, three-quarter release. ... He can make some of the throws; he can't make all the throws."

I dont think Carr will be heading to Viking land :lol

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Giants and Broncos are in trade talks involving middle linebacker Al Wilson.

The Eagles, Lions, and Redskins (before they signed London Fletcher) have also reportedly been involved in talks regarding Wilson. We suspect Wilson would stay in the middle and New York would move Antonio Pierce over to weak-side linebacker if the sides can strike a deal.

Per Rotoworld.

VICK SAYS WATER BOTTLE WAS FOR JEWELRY

In his first comments regarding a January incident in which a confiscated water bottle was found to contain a hidden compartment, Falcons quarterback Mike Vick says that the bottle was for a different kind of stash.

"It was a stash box [for] my jewelry," Vick said Thursday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "That's what I told everybody but that wasn't written. Everything else was written about the smell and all that. I sat in the airport for another hour and 30 minutes so if there was something they thought was wrong then they could have come and got me and we could have handled the situation accordingly right on the spot."

We don't buy this. At all. For several reasons.

First, why is Vick saying this on the day after Matt Schaub was traded? The incident occurred weeks ago. If the bottle was for jewelry only, Vick should have been shouting it from the rooftops. We think that this is all part of the concerted effort to clean up Vick's image, since he's now "the guy" in Atlanta for at least the next two seasons.

Second, no one ever disputed reports that the bottle smelled of marijuana. So unless Vick's jewelry smells of marijuana, his explanation doesn't make sense.

Third, we suppose that the "dark particulant [sic]" that was found in the compartment turned out to be a booger.

Yeah... A Jewelry Box Reeking of Marijuana... :lol :lol :lol

I so want the Raiders to get Calvin Johnson just to **** everything up. It has to be a surprise though. They have to make it seem like they are taking JaMarcus. Then surprise them at the end

MaestroRyan said:
If that happens, the draft would explode. Things are already messed up as is with Lions getting an OT, liking Gaines Adams more than Quinn, and Houston with a quarterback.

I figure we should all just wait for Tarvaris' upcoming first round mock. I think that should answer a lot of our questions. It's amazing how the guy always knows his stuff, but is so incredibly humble about it.

tarvaris is a hell of a guy. even threw us a few interceptions and gave up a few sacks to help us win. he just wants(us) to win.

MaestroRyan said:
I spoke with Tarvaris shortly after the game. He explained to me he wasn't interested in showing up Brad Johnson, considering it would most likely be his last game with the team. How considerate is that? He figures the Vikes are playing for draft, realizes his commitment to winning shouldn't overtake the possibility of snagging Calvin Johnson, so he throws a few picks. All while considering Johnson's feelings.

Now tell me that isn't the man you'd like to see be our next President.

i never thought of it like that, good points :lol

stop living in the past. we have won 3 out of 4 against you, and it should have been 4 straight if nolan had the balls to ram it down your poopchute on 4th and issac bruce's penis size. remember, we own you guys above all else. $60 in my pocket proves it!

come on eagles make a play for al wilson!!!

and do not draft a WR in the 1st round!

We aint getting Al Wilson.

Eagles | Team no longer interested in Wilson
Thu, 22 Mar 2007 16:36:04 -0700

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Philadelphia Eagles were involved in trade talks with the Denver Broncos to acquire LB Al Wilson, but have now backed out of the negotiations.

And i wouldnt worry about getting a WR round 1. No way in hell it happens. We're going LB or DB, guaranteed

well who knows....they could still pull a rabbit out of their ass. i really hope talks heat up again. i would love to have wilson on the eagles. i would forgive the eagles for letting go of stallworth and threatening the fans by entertaining the thought of signing ron dayne.

yeah i think they will go secondary in the 1st rd but no way LB. they would rather draft a OL or another DT b4 they go LB.

Id Say Lance Briggs is more of a possibility at this point. And thats not happening.

I really think we go LB. If not, we're getting a safety. Ideally i would want to move up a few spots and get in position to where we could get Michael Griffin

FYI, the Lions reportedly offered the 2nd overall pick for Wilson, #21, #56, and the Broncos 2nd round pick in '08. Shanahan turned it down and that puts Wilson's point value somewhere around #10 overall pick in the draft.

I'm personally betting that Shanahan is now using the Giants to leverage Millen into making a move. Probably wants to give Wilson, #21, #56, and #85 for #2, letting him pay the freight in one year when the Broncos already have over 70 guys on contracts for '07. The Lions obviously don't expect to contend immediately and so would probably prefer a future 2nd over a current 3rd. Talks with the Giants are just a move for Shanahan to get his way.

Carr isn't coming to Minney.

ZOMG Slo & Maestro you're problems may be solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports if the Miami Dolphins trade for either Kansas City Chiefs QB Trent Green or Houston Texans QB David Carr, QB Daunte Culpepper will be released.

*Back 2 The* D-LOLPEPP FUTURE!!!!!!!

Damn, Dolphins should've held on to Joey Harrington a while longer. David Carr AND Joey Harrington on the same time= a two QB system straight to the superbowl(if the very fabric of the universe didn't break).

Even after Daunte was in a heated position battle with the likes of joey harrington and cleo lemon, I'd still like for the panthers to at least give him a work out. I never want to see a complete lack of depth at qb like last year again.
