If it's tied at the end of regulation they better go to OT, as Bud Selig got crucified for calling the game after 9.

:lol Nice job by the clock guy to make sure 0:00 is left, even though the FG went through with a couple of secs left.

HOW IN THE BLUE **** DID VINCE YOUNG END UP IN THE PRO BOWL?

Highlight reels. One beautiful scramble at an opportune moment in a game outweighs whole mountains of suck through the rest of the game, apparently.

It's nice to see Vince demonstrating the skills that got him OROY and a Probowl invite in the Probowl. But still, as Titans fans and other Vince Young supporters will insist, he now has a 1-0 record in the Probowl, which further proves that he's the greatest man ever to play the game.

Well, the Pro Bowl invite was due to an injury and Romo was also there, so Probowl doesn't mean anything anymore.

:lol Probably.

For Vince to deserve a Probowl invite there would need to be 13 injuries. Possibly more.

I didn't see the pro bowl. I have better things to do (like study :/ ). Anyways, what happened with Romo? Was his interception really that bad? How was his touchdown?

sean taylor maybe an average cover safety, but holy shit does he lay some hits on people. that one was awesome :lol

p.s. romos TD's were a product of anquan boldin and steve smith. he horribly underthrew boldin, and boldin adjusted, caught it, juked out the dude from the jets and scored. then he threw a screen pass to steve smith who made a nice spin move and scored

do we play the Whiners next year? If so, Frank's gonna get his shit pushed in, book it.

Wow, he sure showed that punter!!

**** Sean Taylor, I'm shocked he didn't spit at Moorman when he came up to him.

please. If the spitting was such a dispicable act, why didn't Michael Pittman beat Sean's ass afterwards? Oh thats right, Sean Taylor's not his wife.

As we all know from watching football, spitting in a grown man's face is much more despicable than beating your wife. You can get away with murder, but you dont ****ing spit in a grown man's face!

You should all ready know, that players from THE U don't go at each other full speed. U-Code prevents it. Taylor will deliver a phantom tackle, and Gore will fall in accordance to the code.

But if they weren't both from the U, Frank The Tank would deliver a truck stick on that bastard of epic proportions.

i guess nobody caught the play where SJAX was running full speed at sean taylor in the open field, and taylor backpeddled and let him score.

BUT he'll light up a punter, pussy :lol

Meh. Sean Taylor is obviously in cahoots with former Miami U Coach Dennis Erickson(who also coached the evil Seachickens!). The same Dennis Erickson which infiltrated the great 49er organization in an attempt to bring the greatest franchise in sports history crashing down. A task in which he almost succeeded. Dennis Erickson also 'happened' to recruit Steven Jackson to Oregon State. Erickson obviously conspired with Taylor to let Jackson, who plays one of the Niners' most hated rivals, pad his stats in order to make Jackson look stronger than Gore in the pro bowl. Taylor could have ended Jackson's career with a crushing hit, but was given the order to stand down.

Erickson is evil, as are the Rams and all its players. You are a good person inside Soulja, and we'll accept you into the Niner inner circle if you repent your sins now, and abandon the dark ways of Erickson, the St. Louis Rams, and pledge a life long allegiance to the 49ers. Come on man, do the right thing.

that particular play was in a regular season game btw, not the probowl or anything.

and no thanks to your invitation, but i do forsee a ram/niner alliance to bring down the seachicken division dominance next year. :)

it is too late for him nameless. sad, but true :(

and no thanks to your invitation, but i do forsee a ram/niner alliance to bring down the seachicken division dominance next year.

we handled our end THIS year buddy with a clean sweep! if you had won even 1 game against the seachickens last year.... ayeeeee!

He's a ****ing punter. It's the probowl. He was running out. What kind of cut would a punter have made?

I like how Moorman is just layed out on the floor and gets up real fast like he didn't know what had just happened...without even using his hands. I think he was embarassed and pissed.

Dude, he wasn't running out, he was running for the 1st down still:P

I hope CBS replaces the terrible team of Gumbel, Dierdorf and Simms with their Japanese announcing crew. At least then I wouldn't have to leave the TV on mute. Their replay of the hit on Moorman was hilarious.

This sunday feels so empty.....

the first of many empty sundays to come :(

just think, the most exciting thing in sports to happen for the next 4-6 months will be someone signing with a team as a free agent, or someone getting drafted above or below where he should have. but maybe that is what makes football so fantastic: they give you just enough to keep you around, but not enough to make you throw up. oh NFL...

He could have just wrapped him up...like I said, what kind of cut was the punter gonna make? There were no real holes.

What the **** did I used to do sundays? I can't even remember. Life feels so empty.

If it wasn't for the basketball, I'd be going crazy today.

It's Sean Taylor, he doesn't even know how to wrap up a tackle.

And I'm out of stuff to do today also, need to move College Basketball to Sundays. At least more important games than some random FSU game.

clayton just said on sportscenter that is a real possibility that the niners get adalius thomas AND asante samuel :D man that would be sweet pie

That would be awesome. I want Samuels more than Clements. Hes younger, and he really stepped up and played like a true shut-down corner this year, especially in the playoffs. Lawson and Thomas on the outside, Moore and Ulbrich on the inside(though we might even get Willis in the draft to replace ulbrich) would be great. If this happens all we need on D now, is a stud on the line, and maybe a better cover safety.

COME ON YORK! Don't start getting cheap on us again! Though I'm fairly certain that the Pats will franchise Samuels..:(

yeah it's just the probowl, and yeah it was a punter, but look at what everyone is talking about a day later. that is probably the most exciting play in a probowl that i can remember. probowls are usually like all-star games: even if the score is 151-150 in triple overtime its just a bunch of superstars playing grab-ass all night and "havin' fun!" sean taylors hit let the AFC know who is boss once and for all! no more "just an exhibition!" oh its awn AFC, it's AWN!@

You can have Samuels, I hope my Saints sign Clements, Patriots players tend to be products of the system...

you guys can dream, but the fact is that either Samuel or Clement is going to end up in a Redskin uniform once Gibbs tells Snyder's dumbass to open up the wallet. Then we can have a real corner instead of Carlos Rogers gimpy ass.

I was about to write a new post saying the exact same thing... :lol

Knowing what kind of stupid decisions are made around here sometimes though, I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of Springs instead of Rogers after paying the GNP of a 3rd world country for Asante Samuel. :(

Don't hate on Asante. Being put on an island in man and consistently coming up big doesn't mean you're a product of the system you're in. Besides, he did more this season than just deliver THE POUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCE! to a punter...;)

reasons why FA's would want to come to the niners over redskins:

1. redskins on the downward spiral - do the redskins HAVE any direction? a coach who will retire in a year, no QB, an aging offensive line, overrated defense, consistent disappointments

2. niners on the rise - great coaching staff that is not afraid to play people who perform, roster that is coming into its own being built from the ground up, high class players, lots of money to spend

3. get to play with a future hall of famer if you sign with the niners - alex smith, frank gore, larry allen, bryant young... they're all headed to the hall!

for those reasons and more, i would advise FA's to stay away from the skins and come to the niners.... where people care about you!

4. get to carry on the legacy of Joe Montna, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig.. as opposed to Joe Theisman, Mark Ripen, Michael Westbrook, Ernest Byner...

5. you're not representing racism and opression by being as a 49er!

6. no sharing a locker room or football field with Brandon Lloyd!

7. Rollin with Nolan> Gimped with Gibbs

8. You wont' be benched/cut just because a player with a bigger name becomes available.

9. San Francisco is a Konex free zone!

Taylor did the right thing because 99% of the people complaining would have complained regardless. Imagine the ridicule he would have gotten if the punter fell forward for the 1st down.

Football is football, if you don't want to get hit don't play. If you don't want them to tackle, then make it a rule. Turn the probowl into a flag football game.

I didn't hear this many complaints when Roy Williams was knocking heads off last year.

QFMFT. Sean Taylor isn't a class act by any means, but it's football. And if that hit helps make the Pro Bowl more interesting and makes the players play harder, I'm all for it. People whine about offseason and not trying to get injured, but ferchrissakes these guys play football. They get paid millions because of the risk of injury and performance demanded. Boo-hoo to ask them to actually play one more game with their peers.

Anyway, Hail Redskins! Looking forward to seeing the news of Asante's hire in a few weeks. :D

you're so glib, Frenchie. You're so glib you don't even know.

ouch...

With his sons embroiled in legal difficulties, Eagles head coach Andy Reid has decided to take a leave of absence.

Reid is expected to return to work by the middle of next month.

Reid’s two older sons, 23-year-old Garrett and 21-year-old Britt, were both involved in traffic incidents on Jan. 30 that have turned much more serious.

Britt Reid was involved in road-rage incident and since has been arraigned on nine counts, including making terroristic threats, possession of a controlled substance and a felony charge of carrying a firearm without a license.

Garrett has yet to be charged after his sport-utility vehicle collided with a woman’s car at an intersection in Plymouth Township, Pa. He is expected to face DUI charges, drug charges, and several traffic violations.

Cant get over how ****in stupid his sons are. :lol
