Because 4 > 3.

They can cry all Dey want. Just reminds me of the "We Dey" chants the Steelers had after the win.Spectral Glider said:Yeah, I didn't include the playoff game. Besides, do we really want to hear them crying and whining about the Evil Kimo again? Man, he's worse than Romo that guy. Did you see all the evil hits he scored for the Jets this year? What a dirty vindictive guy, I tell ya.

Looks like Joey Porter got mad that the horse turned his ugly ass down and put out a hit on it.

Ben has had perhaps the best situation of any QB ever coming into the league. If Carson was the QB of that team, he would have 2 rings now. Ben is a caretaker. Carson is a QB.
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith returned to practice today for the first time since Sept. 5.
You hold your breath, but he looked like he made it through pretty good, Carolina coach John Fox said. He looked good in the things he did on the practice field today. So well just see how he looks and feels tomorrow.
Joey Porter is a bad man. Better hope for Chad's sake that he never goes against Joey coming across the middle.shantyman said:I was going to post that even Joey Porter's dogs are assholes too.

bionic77 said:All Ben does is win. And he had some nice stats in the playoffs when we came out throwing. Didn't he drop like 31 points on the road in Cincy in the playoffs? And it could have been worse if we kept trying to run up the score in the 4th quarter.
Tamanon said:Yeah watch out. He might rack up the 0 tackles, 0 sacks, 0.5 assisted tackles on ya.
That's positively Mario Williams numbers!

bionic77 said:The Niners gave Cool Joe the boot, why is Brett untouchable?
I think Joe owned San Fran as much or more than Brett owns Cheesetown.
Now granted there is probably no way he gets traded, but no one is above being traded or fired in the NFL.
bionic77 said:If you had a team that was solid at every position except quarterback would you want to take a chance and trade for Farve?
Rumors are floating about Brett going down to DC. It is definitely fake, but interesting to think about nonetheless.
I haven't been following too closely, but are the Jags really in trouble as a viable franchise in Jacksonville? I know they've been having attendance problems, and I heard on the radio they couldn't even sell out their Monday night game. Baltimore fans tend to see Jacksonville as Tagliabue's biggest mistake, and see the Jags as the expansion team Baltimore should have been awarded in 1993.Tamanon said:Basically Tampa TV stations have a feud going over the Jaguars and Orlando coverage. Right now they'll show anything but Jags games. Even going as far as Baltimore/Cleveland, the cheapest one to get.
And we in Baltimore mostly see the Ravens as an expansion team with no connection to the Browns. In fact, the only original Brown left on the team from the move is kicker Matt Stover.levious said:actually it's kind of wierd... in a way the browns are just the browns and the Ravens are their own team, at least when you're talking about team historical stats.

And don't get us started on Indy owning the franchise records of the old Baltimore Colts...

OK, just going by what I heard. But didn't they cover up entire sections of seats last year just so that they could pull the tickets off the market and still claim "sellouts"?Tamanon said:Um what?
All Jags games are sold out this year. This Monday night's game was totally sold out too, even if Jags fans didn't snap up the tickets, you know Steelers fans would'veBut there weren't NEARLY as many this year. We're in no trouble at all.
Seats covered Thursday
7/27/05
Beginning on Thursday, July 28, the process of covering 9,713 seats inside Alltel Stadium will begin. MetroMedia Technologies, Inc. is making the large coverings which will be installed in the north and south ends of each upper deck as well as part of the north endzone. As announced in December, the Jaguars are reducing the capacity of Alltel Stadium to 67,164 by covering nearly 10,000 seats. The team's objective is to sell out Alltel Stadium, creating a better game day experience for our fans and allowing Jaguars home games to be televised locally. Over the course of the season there will be 97,130 fewer tickets available to Jaguars home games.

I'm just curious, was the Jag's stadium built before they were actually awarded a franchise? That would have been a strong argument in their favor to get a franchise, if they could say they already had an NFL caliber stadium. Or was it built after they got the team? When the Browns moved to Baltimore, they played the first two years in old, decrepit Memorial Stadium while the new one was being built.Tamanon said:Well, the seats are covered up because the stadium is too big for the NFL market in Jacksonville. It's built for the Florida/Georgia game which is a much huger crowd.
They can't just uncover the seats whenever they want, they either need to be covered all year or uncovered all year.

levious said:That's what I always thought was lame. What was so special about Cleveland that they got to keep their name for a "future team." League had already screwed over one historical city, why not another.
Yes, I certainly do know a few people who still call the Ravens the Colts.Karakand said:The whole thing with Cleveland was such a slap in the face to so many other cities that lost their teams. Besides the Colts (tangent: anyone else know older people that call the Ravens the Colts out of habbit?) you had the bullshit that happened with the Oilers and the Rams.
At least we can rest easy with the knowledge that the Browns will never amount to anything, much like the city they play in. Besides, would anyone want the Browns name, colors and history?
Spectral Glider said:I always thought it was weak sauce when the Colts bolted Baltimore in the middle of the night. The Houston thing made zero sense, they can't keep one and then they get another.

I never have watched PTI, but he has not written anything remotely insightful or funny since the early nineties. All he does now is try to stir things up. Like Adu's rookie year in MLS, he wrote all year blasting the coach for not starting him, all the while emphasizing that he hates soccer. That's about all he has to offer.
