NSMB is a sub-series though.

A dead genre with games that have outsold Uncharted and most of Sony's other first party titles.
Nintendo is the only other company with a "next-gen" system out right now, so naturally they're Sony's target.
Plus, it's easier to get Nintendo fans riled up.
LOLMario's tits are milked so dry that he's giving powered milk.
Yeah? Your point being...?Superiority Complex.
Just a thought, but what if this has the opposite effect? What if someone actually thinks there will be a Mario game on the new PlayStation?
WHY DON'T THEY THINK OF THE EASILY MISINFORMED
Real classy. I want to get behind Sony this coming gen because I don't think Kinect can win me over, but this ain't the way to do it.
Oh wow.. The add really is working huh?
All i'm trying to say is that people acting like Sony's exclusive software is leagues better than what Nintendo puts out are delusional. They both have games that are at the top of their respective genres. Like Gran Turismo for racing and Galaxy for 3d platforming.
The people taking this seriously on both sides are a marvel to behold
Sony knows what their fans crave and gives it to them.So unless there's a slew of new Sony IPs coming, this is just bullshit.

"Oh, Yay, Another Killzone Game."
"Oh, Yay, Another God of War Game."
"Oh, Yay, Another Uncharted Game."
Works both ways, unfortunately. I want new IP's from everyone, please.

I agree with kitsuneyo, I really want to be team PlayStation this gen like I was with PS1/PS2 (got PS3 too late and it never really hyped me), I am also team Nintendo and them bashing Mario isn't helping me, and I'd say the same if it was the other way around (Nintendo bashing Uncharted for example).
I really hope Sony doesn't try to help the console war fights because it won't get anywhere.
Ok... my profile is near-empty and I'm sure my posting history says nothing negative about PlayStation. I just don't like adverts that attack other products while saying nothing about their own offering. I don't like all the arrogant chat, from MS or Sony. Nintendo don't really get involved in it.
Oh wow.. The add really is working huh?
Uh... there is no main series. Mario is a mascot. The subseries as you call them are the franchises.NSMB is a sub-series though.
I'm having fun with it, like you're supposed to.
There is not 100 different versions of either Uncharted, Killzone or God Of War.
Mario on the other hand, well - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_featuring_Mario
Does no on remember this beauty?
If you can't read the bottom it says:
"Possibly the greatest game ever made is available only on Playstation."
"Good thing, if it were available on cartridge, it'd retail for around $1,200."
To get attention, sure. But I don't think arrogance or mocking your competitors is good for your image.

When you're marketing a video game console, I think it's fine.To get attention, sure. But I don't think arrogance or mocking your competitors is good for your image.
It is certainly a good way to blow through this microwave popcorn I have sitting in the pantry

Carnival of stupid just began. And thus fanboys will start to fight.
Then it's even more effective
I hold more respect for those who are honest about their preferences than the fakes who play the whole "I'm so neutral and above this" schtick.
