Episode 136, tomorrow night. The somewhat tolerable character filler is over now, and apparently the worst filler is still ahead. :(

On a lighter note, the ch.356 scan is out.

136 is out...

4 Apii, huh?

Well, guess I better start watching. My standards will be lower if I watch it now while I'm halfway falling asleep. :D

Well that wasn't really a bad episode...

Chapter 357.

- Build a dream ship? Franky = new crew member. CONFIRMED. :D

- Usopp with a pistol in the Chapter art? New, reborn usopp to come back as a REAL sniper. CONFIRMED? I certainly hope so!

- I bet Tom is still alive. Maybe he'll be saved during this arc, or whenever the straw hats hit enies lobby. You know it's gonna happen! A prison island that nobody ever came back from? They can't resist. Oda will take them there. :p

Well his dream is to build a great ship (a la Oro Jackson), but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll join the crew. That's where Pauly fits into the equation, I think Franky will build & Pauly will join as the crews shipwright.

Though it's simply impossible to bet either way atm, but Franky would seem like the hot tip.

Ch.359 is out, been out for a while now.

Let's see. Chapter starts out with Kaku messing up Usopp, then releasing the Merry from the warehouse dock, we see her plummeting down (Merry dead?). Nami & Iceburg discuss the reasons for Robin's actions, Iceburg tells her that, Robin chose to frame the Strawhats, as the Government would've called on a "Buster Call" if she had refused.

Which basically means, the Marines would assemble 10 elite class warships headed by 5 Vice Admirals & come to Water 7, basically... they'd bring World War III to the Strawhats, certain death really. So Robin chose the best possibility for the crews survival, she was acting on there behalf all along, so she's not some twisted, cold hearted bitch after all.

Anyways, chapter concludes with Sanji, yes Sanji finally popping up outside the Blue Station, he's found Robin & guess where she' headed? ....yup, Eneas Lobby.

manga.

Sanji's back yay! :D

Interesting about Robin. I actually was happy Oda took a risk with her but now it seems like she really is just a nice person and finally found her 'place' with the Straw hats. Oh well that makes it 8 members with the new one. Can't complain here.

Btw, anybody seen the latest episode titles? They're doing the aokiji stuff. I think after that is filler but still, I have a feeling this arc will be saturated with filler once the anime hits which will somehow ruin it a bit imo.

358 scantlation is out...

Repeat after me people: "ONE PIECE IS AWESOME!!! AWESOME IS ONE PIECE!!!"

Oh boy. It's great to read chapters that I haven't seen the raw for (only read some spoilers). Kishimoto should take note of One Piece and see how Oda moves the story so much in 19 pages!

And we finally get an explanation on why iceburg never just burned the blue print; anybody who can read ancient text (nico...) might resurrect the ancient weapons and the blue print will be needed to defend against those.

Anybody think the blue print is inside Franky's body? :lol

138 tonight.

Since their usual release time already passed, and it's already thursday on the east coast, it probably means tomorrow night.

Chapter 360 is out!

You know, I think I'm in love with Oda's artstyle all over again. *Especially* throughout Water 7 you can totally see how much his style had changed over the years. I mean, he's still able to pull off all the silly faces and whatnot, but the characters themselves just generally look more mature and well-rounded. He's able to draw them in so many different emotions/positions/etc. that I think this is part of what makes One Piece so endearing. He's able to communicate emotion *very* effectively through his drawings and he only uses the silly faces and overexaggerations when appropriate. I really don't know how else to describe it, but suffice to say, Oda has come a long, long way and I honestly think not only can he tell a wonderful story, but he's one of the best comic artists in the world.

i noticed the same thing as I was going over some of the more recent chapters yesterday. There's more detail than in the beginning chapters.

Whoa... the anime reached water 7. @_@

You can see a pic of the episode on arlong park. Beautiful. Though it mean they'll have a lot of filler in water 7. It's going to move a lot slower in the anime than it did in the manga. They really should take a year break or something. I don't care if a lot of fans quit watching it, the true ones will stick with it! It's popular enough. hell Gundam SEED got a sequel a year later (which you can't really watch if you haven't seen SEED or well you can but eh it'll suck even more) and the ratings for the first episode were insane. o_O;

manga.

Sanji and even usopp (when he becomes the uber-l33t sniper! :D) should get their bounties after this arc! Seriously that average crew member of the red-hair (that's their name right?) pirates had a 100 million bounty and almost got his ass kicked on whitebeard's ship.

Oda needs to level up the straw hats for the inevitable Black Beard fight. XD XD XD

Well here's a good joke I just noticed minutes ago. :lol

Spring Break is now over and we're all back to work.

If everything goes well, One Piece 139 will be released tomorrow night, the start of the 5-episode Rainbow Mist arc.

Episode 143 will be the last filler episode until Episode 196. Cool, eh?

Yay.

We'll probably get to jaya in may. Just in time for summer!

I've downloaded HK subs up to 180, watched severals episodes of Skypie arc already. Ah, I forgot the nice, warm-inside feeling of watching 20-30 episodes of OP in a row. The subs still sucks, though.

362 raws out.

Sanji will fight from car-to-car, with each car having a more powerful CP boss.
Back in Water Seven, Nami finds Luffy, but will have to risk her life in order to rescue him.

My predictions:
Oda will continue to use Nami to draw parallel to Robin. This arc is, in a sense, similar to Arlong Park... and I think that's why he is focusing so much on Nami.

They'll find the Going Merry and sail out on it one last time. Perhaps.

Wow, that chapter came out early.

Great chapter,
that freaky tall CP6 agent was awesome, gotta love when Oda pulls out those bizarre enemies. Apparently there's more Cipher Pol (7 & 8) units aboard the train, each stationed in one room, and on top of that, there's a new CP9 agent that Corgi mentions called Nero, who's in the third carriage.

So it looks like Sanji will have to run the gauntlet against the governments top agents.

OMG!

How come nobody told me about this!

There's another group (or rather just one guy!) who's translating One Piece! He started at 220 and is up to 225. I've seen him on the usual site before but the torrent barley moved and forgot about it. This guy is serious! I finished downloading 225 and the subs are fine! He still has no tracker for his other torrents but he's subbing! YAY!

From the 'about' section on his page, you can see he has 11 years experience living in japan so he knows his stuff. Other people are helping him but he doesn't have a full organized team. :(

I hope other people will join him. If he'd open a paypal account I'd donate (and I'm sure many others!) for a tracker.

I don't have time to watch the episode now so I only saw about 5 minutes of 225...
Aokiji is here! The preview is so sweet I watched it 3 times. Bring on Water 7!!!!!

Now the usual group is for skypia+ but since I read the manga I can also watch that guy's fansubs.

AWESOME. :D

That's what im doing right now. Why on earth would they call Sanji Haingis, Chopper Joeb, Luffy Roofy, Robin Little baby, Zoro Solon etc

Better than nothing I guess sigh

:lol

I'd rather wait for quality instead of ruining a great anime.

how the hell did this thread get to page 20?

damn now I will never watch or read the manga :(

...

What does this thread reaching 20 pages have to do with you watching One Piece or reading the manga? o_O

Im guessing he doesnt want to watch because it would take too long to catch up. Personally I love it when I discover a great with 100+ episodes, I can watch several episodes in a row for a really long time.

Just watched the dub for 151, they kept introducing new important characters (like 10 of them) but those idiots didnt even translate what was writing about them. Now im totally lost.

Yeah, subs of episode 151 are totally messed up, should rewatch XX version. Actually, I don't feel like ruining the series for my by watching those HK subs.

Unbelievable, that another guy is doing quality subs of current one piece episodes. I gotta admit I wasn't too thrilled with the skypiea arc and having to wait years just for the water 7 arc. Anyways thanks for the tip that a new guy/group was subbing one piece great stuff.

Yeh, that guy is pretty good. He used to do soft subs with SRT files, that you could just attach to the raws without having to download the episode again. But I guess some other group was trying to rip his subs off, so he quit doing that & only releases the new episodes with subs already on them.

Which was a shame, because I like getting the raws early & just attaching his subs which usually came out two or three days after. :/

chapter 362 Scantlation is out!!!!! :D

The group has now officially caught up with the manga. Hopefully we'll get weekly releases starting from 363!

Chapter 363 raw is out.

A fairly predictable chapter. Nami makes her way down to the back streets to where Luffy is stuck, she tells him of Robin's sacrifice. Aqua Laguna starts to roll in and Luffy destroys the two buildings and pulls himself & Nami to a bridge. Meanwhile Chopper spots Zoro in the chimney and brings him Kitetsu, he's also able to escape and they both move to higher ground on the bridge.

The huge tidal waves roll in and floods the back town, and also hits the bridge and it begins to crumble away, chapter ends.

Episode 140 is out now. Only three more episodes of pain to endure until Jaya begins.

Also,
Water 7
arc starts tomorrow night, after a two week break.

You know, this is one case where I actually really liked the filler little kids. In fact, I actually kind of like this Rainbow Mist filler in general so far. A lot better than the goats, that's for sure.

Maybe it's because I've read the manga but I can't stand this filler. I checked the time 3-4 times when watching 139.

Btw any anime-only fans watching episodes from that 'other' group? His last episode is 226, which is the end of filler and start of the latest manga arc. I'm not going to bother downloading 220-225. Anyway I think after Jaya (which is about ten episodes) any anime viewer can watch both subs since both skipia and davy back arcs do nothing to advance the main storyline.

What about the gold which is important for introducing Franky. It's probably also gonna be used to buy the new boat (which is probably what Franky spent it on..you know his dream ship which he can afterward give to Luffy). People would also have trouble understanding why Nami has a Jetski in the year 1500 or so and why Usopp is suddenly more powerful with the "Impact" thingy

Really, those are nothing. Pirates went on an adventure and returned with a lot of gold. Not much of a spoiler. I think you have a point with the impact stuff, but again they'll get introduced to those early on in skipiea. A lot of good stuff is coming up with water 7 and really imo the little pieces of info from skipia/davy back aren't worth it to wait a year (or even two!) until the main guys catch up.

That guy still hasn't released 227 though... :'(
