There's a whole lot of fightin' that still has to go on. As per usual with taking down any criminal organization, Luffy and co have to take care of the strong underlings first.
Indeed, Franky is far from what was expected...still like him, though...very interesting character design. While he may not be the major villain, I don't think he should be underestimated...there's got to be something to him, some power or another. Plus this Agua Laguna thing which is going to sink half the city is going to make it hard for Devil Fruit users like Luffy to fight.....and Franky looks like a swimmer.

It's also worth noting that 107 marks the debut of another new ending (I think), so presumably the "extra" that they are going to be offering will be the new ending single. At least, that's what I would guess.

We finally got the disc in that has episodes after 128
I was halfway working when it was on, so I didn't see all of what happened, but it looks to be like episde 135 or so before they get into the next big arc. Nice breather.
Nice exit for Vivi, then there's a couple of odd episodes that seem like filler (a chopper flashback and then some guy selling weird items or something)

Questions for the manga readers. There's no reward for answering these other then a peaceful conscious.
1) How far ahead is the manga compared to the anime? I mean what chapters does the latest episode (205 maybe?) cover?
2) How many chapters does an episode usually cover (1, 1.5, 2, etc...)?

1) Judged on what Belfast said, OP is apparently in a filler arc before starting the infamous Davyback fight. Since the Davyback fight is short, there will probably be some more filler after that to give Oda time to finish the current Water 7 arc. I can't recall off the top of my head, but I'd roughly guess the anime is around chapter 290?
2) Rough guess - 1.5 chapters? I suppose it really depends on the action/dialogue ratio of a given chapterset.
Of course, its hard to say because the Water 7 Arc looks like its going to be loooooooooong. After that, who knows. Maybe another mini-arc then Pirate's Summit? I hope so. That's been a long time coming and Oda really needs to tie in some characters that have been missing for a LONG time (Buggy, anybody? He and Alvida followed them to the Grand Line...so where are they?).

Well it's their birthday today. Yep "those guys" have been subbing One Piece for 2 years now! Does this mean they'll celebrate with a release? No one knows. O__o
Also, their channel's topic says recruiting Japanese translators. I don't know if they're just adding more translators or filling in a spot someone left... I hope it's the former.

Franky and Luffy continue to yell at eachother. Franky leans back and Luffy/Nami are clueless as to why. Then he suddenly unleashes a huge fireball on them. They aren't sure how he did it and assume he must have a Devil Fruit power or something (but, then again, doesn't Ace already have fire....?). Franky dives off the bridge and into the water near Luffy's boat. When he comes up, he comes up under the boat, smashing it to pieces. Luffy leaps into the air and attempts to unleash a gomu-gomu attack, but is interrupted by Franky, who seems to know some of Luiffy's weaknesses. Franky's right arm detaches, linked to his body by a chain, and knocks Luffy square in the chest. Franky calls this attack Strong Right.and it throws Luffy back into the door of Dock 1. Still confused about what Franky can do, Franky tells Luffy to listen up and reveals the fact that he, Franky, is a cyborg. Meanwhile, the Galleras are still with Iceberg, trying to figure out why and who would want to shoot him. They bring up the fact that Nico Robin has been sighted with Luffy and the other Straw Hats and think that maybe they concocted a plan to shoot Iceberg for saying that the Going Merry was unrepairable. Kaku, Lulu, Rob Ricci, Pauley, and Tilestone decide to go find Luffy and figure out what's up.....obviously anticipating a fight. When they get to Dock 1, they call Luffy out in the middle of his fight with Franky.
So......now Luffy's in a dangerous situation. Fighting essentially by himself, against Franky, and now possibly the Galleras, with the Aqua Laguna coming which is going to flood most of the city, and he's a Devil Fruit user who can't swim.....hmmmm. Some people are speculating that Luffy and Franky might be forced to team up, but so much could happen, yet.
So......now Luffy's in a dangerous situation. Fighting essentially by himself, against Franky, and now possibly the Galleras, with the Aqua Laguna coming which is going to flood most of the city, and he's a Devil Fruit user who can't swim.....hmmmm. Some people are speculating that Luffy and Franky might be forced to team up, but so much could happen, yet.

Not to mention the little series preview which claims One Piece is about "2 heroes determined to fulfill their dreams." Wait, what? How many was that again?

lordy lordy lordy... the one peice dub doesn't sound as awful as I thought it would and kaizoku's fansub of gold rogers intro speech must have been pretty close becuase 4kids has it spoken in english almost to the exact word.
For extra hilarity watch the tokyo mew mew preview. I stopped it halfway through it was so bad. I'll check one piece out tommorow to see just how awful the translation really is

Zoro's voice seems like it might be ok, but Luffy is so far off the map it's not even funny. I think nobody ever told 4Kids that the Straw Hats Pirates are all in their late teens and aren't prepubescent kids (except maybe for Chopper, but he's something else entirely anyway...they won't even have to worry about him for a few years, if ever).
