So is OT2 going to come or are we just going to wait for the OT when the game finally launches? BTW how long was Destiny's beta thread compared to this one?

yeah but think about 2 years from now when we hate all the new heroes and reminisce how "pure" the vanilla overwatch was.

Then that plate will be worth something I bet!

...Oh god I'm thinking about this game way to much. Time to go sit down and think about not thinking about it while failing and thinking about it anyways.

1 week passed. 1 week to go. I'm having serious trouble enjoying any other game. Whenever I open Steam and look at my library I close it again and browse the Overwatch threads and subreddit.

Yeah I'm in the same boat.

I bought Legacy of the Void to hold me over until then.
 
I think we can take this as confirmation that the Widowmaker skin is a pack in.

Edit: looks like she deleted her post right as I made this one. She had a PC copy (Origins Edition) thanks to a friend that works at Blizzard. Nice packaging with a sticker mentioning the skin on the front, and a card with a code inside.

Good to know. Finally placed my order for the PC Origins edition through Best Buy and was wondering why they took info out from the PO page.
 
Went to order a Tracer statue after I preordered the Collectors Edition. It's sold out! ;-; Damn. Now I need to wait, and cross my fingers she comes back in stock soon.

At least I got a snazzy overwatch jacket~

I'm wondering where is best since I want the Noire skin but also the Origins edition. I'm on PC/EU. I've looked around and already have the standard edition preordered on Battle.net but feel a bit annoyed that for a couple of pounds more I can get the Origins bonuses elsewhere, so I'm shopping around frantically and hoping I get a refund from Blizz'. It wish the Noire skin was just included in the Origins pack, it's kinda unclear how it'll be released.

Most of the places doing it for cheap at "key only" sites so if it's an insert in the case, will they even send that over as well?

I know winston exists. I've been playing the game since closed beta and that's just a really obvious comparison to make. The character I am thinking up would not play at all like winston and the shield would last longer than the few seconds winston puts his up for. But since the new character is not nearly as mobile as winston is, and it wouldn't be a bubble, it would be very different than winston's.

I'm sure it could be balanced. Perhaps the shield goes down every time it is hit for a fraction of a second so higher rate of fire weapons would be effective. It would also probably be quite easy to destroy since you can fire at it from a wider angle than directly on the player itself. I'm not sold on a shield myself, just an idea anyway.
 
Googling hasn't shown an answer but I'm guessing Blizzard hasn't stated if they'll end up selling the Origins Edition content as a later upgrade if you choose to go with the regular edition? In the beta I only played as one of the five characters with those fancy skins so it's tough for me to know if I'd even end up using the others all that much. But I do like the look of them.

Only reason I'm thinking they might is I checked the Battle.net Shop and see that they're offering the Warlords of Draenor collector's edition content now as an upgrade.

I have the regular edition on Battle.net and there's a "upgrade available" thingy, which redirects me to the Origins Edition page. It still shows at full price, so maybe upgrading isn't live yet.
I remember another gaffer asking this a while ago and he was going to contact support. Don't know how it went.

edit: oh wait, clicking on "upgrade available" does nothing right now. But it's there,

Bastion, DVa, Lucio, Mei, Mercy, Torb, Zarya and Zen.

All I know is that Mercy should get a full fledged movie.
 
That GIF I made from the Dragons short is going to hit the top of /r/gaming and my inbox is getting flooded lol, it's pretty interesting reading so many opinions on the game, most of them are "OMG I CAN'T WAIT" but you get the odd "BAH HUMBUG I'M NOT PAYING $60 FOR TF2 WITH MICRO TRANSACTIONS" (because TF2 doesn't have those, lol).
