I can only speak for Sweden, but from what I´ve heard the GT5 Prologue-bundle and the game alone has sold alot. And by alot, I really mean it. I never could´ve guessed that a simple version of a game could sell so much. I admitt also that until know, I never thought that Gran Turismo was a systemseller. Boy was I wrong...

What I mean was I really expected it to chart higher than say Vegas 2 on PS3 considering the quality of the title, franchise and Wii userbase.

There are 2 things already stacked against the game from the start, not including the total 180 in controls that might alienate hardcore players of the game who don't want change.

1) The PS3 and 360 versions of game are already released months ago which means most of this game's sales will come from Wii only owners.

2) Since a hardcore PES fan will most likely have a 360 or PS3 perhaps along with a Wii, this game will have to appeal to the mainstream players of PES on the Wii.



Hopefully the game will gain more mouth-to-mouth advertising and has some legs.

Wonky launch dates? I don't know. but I do know that I saw these Netherlands numbers on Friday afternoon. I will wait for next week regarding Netherlands data. Even "if" Netherlands hate GT "which they don't" there is no way that it didn't chart in the PS3 top 10. That is just IMPOSSIBLE.

Next weeks Netherlands data you will see GT5P in the charts, I guarantee it.

To be fair I remember picking up Tiger woods 2007 on the 360 about 3 months after release and the online was a ghost town by that time. I guess golf just isnt that popular on consoles

I'm pretty sure Tiger Woods 08 on the Wii sold fairly well. It is a pitty that Hot Shots Golf/Everybody's Golf didn't do well, though.

I picked up TW07 Wii back then, quite liked it and sold it with hope for 08 to have online play... too bad, no online, no buy. Hope they get it online in 09, but my hope is small.
