PAL Charts - Week 22, 2014

It's not Minecraft levels though, surely we can agree on that?

Oh, totally not, but then what is. I mean, Mario Galaxy 2 sold less than Borderlands 2, that's kinda what my measurement for a "big" series is. A Minecraft Vita bundle has to happen, otherwise Sony are actually complete morons. Not saying it'll "save" the system, but I can't see it not moving a whole bunch of units.

Yes. There was a 419€ bundle with PS4 + Shadow Fall all over my TV ad breaks that week.

They don't count bundled games for the german charts. But KZ is down to 39.-€ right now, which is ok. The reason for charting so high is most likely more avaible hardware.

I asked precisely about an offer an KZ because it's the only PS4 title to have gone up WoW. And quite significantly so. So I don't think it's just "PS4 in stock now".

This isnt a official bundle, its a ps4 + a retail copy of Killzone, so it does count

Speaking of Amazon UK, they somehow have a few PS4 gamer packs again (the one with 2 DS4, the camera and KZSF) for £420. Was that the price at launch?

The TF XB1 bundle is also back to £349 but that's just for today. they also have a TF+JD+Rayman bundle for £395 (with kinect) o_O

And what the actual fuck at this:

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt CE.

‘Watch Dogs’ still has its teeth firmly gripped on No1 this week despite an 81% drop in sales (84% drop on PS4/Xbox One and 68% drop on PS3/Xbox 360).

You have to go back to W22 2012 and ‘Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’ for the last Ubisoft title that managed to hold on to the No1 spot. A non-mover at No2, ‘Mario Kart 8’ (-76%) has to fend off strong competition from Square’s new title ‘Murdered: Soul Suspect’, only 400 sales behind, at No3. ‘Wolfenstein: The New Order’ (-51%) and ‘FIFA 14’ (-25%) both drop one place to No’s 4 and 5 respectively, while ‘2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil’ (-10%) holds on to No6. There are still 2 Minecrafts in the Top 10 with the PS3 Edition (-37%) down 2 places to No7 and the Xbox 360 Edition (-27%) also down 2 places, to No10. Minecraft hasn’t dropped out of the Top 10 all year.

Previous No1s and big FPS titles ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ (-11%) and ‘Titanfall’ (-22%) are fighting it out at No’s 8 and 9 respectively with Activision Blizzard’s shooter leapfrogging EA’s with only 200 sales separating them. ‘Murdered: Soul Suspect’ isn’t the only new entry this week with NCSOFT’s latest MMO ‘Wildstar’ debuting at No14 ahead of Nintendo’s 3DS life simulation game ‘Tomodachi Life’ at No15.

I was actually expecting a big drop for Mario Kart 8. It staying at #2 is fantastic.
It is a big drop in units.

If splits come out we can work out how much it's sold in a narrower range, since it's sandwiched between XBO and PS3 Watch_Dogs.

It is a big drop in units.

If splits come out we can work out how much it's sold in a narrower range, since it's sandwiched between XBO and PS3 Watch_Dogs.

Well that's always expected, but retaining #2 is good.

Of course things will drop in units outside of the 1st week. That's how things always happen.

That said, a 76% drop and still retaining #2...that shows how bad the UK industry is.

Big drop in units for WD and MK8, but really great that both still managed to hold onto the top spots in 2nd week. Drops are expected though so it's time for the legs to keep moving.

PS4+XBO Watch_Dogs ~47K
PS3+360 WD ~27K

I don't think Mario Kart games are supposed to typically follow the same sales curve as something like Watch_Dogs.

It's June, it doesn't really say much at all about the UK industry.
Goddamn at the 81% drop. Biggest WoW drop so far?
Do you mean ever? No... :/
