Does seem strange, with Gears 1 you could not watch tele without seeing the Awesome Mad world ad, I cant believe they wont ever show the last day one here.

I've seen quite a few ads for Fable 2 on Sky. Haven't seen any ads for Gears 2 or Banjo.

Ghost Town had a LBP & GOW2 advert before it when I saw it in the UK.

PSP seemed to be getting the ad time on E4 from Sony last night, which struck me as odd.

They're definitely showing the Gears 2 ad at cinemas right now, I've seen it a few times on the big screen. It'll probably hit TVs soon if it hasn't already though, but really I think they've got enough 360 ads on at the minute.

And about Nordisk Film, I don't know why but they're the distributor for the playstation brand in some nordic countries.

FYI - for those who claimed that PES got owned - just in October, in Italy alone, PES sold 170k copies MORE than FIFA. And Italy is less than 10% of total western european gaming market.

Funny how Mario & Sonic keeps selling so strong. I bet they'll have a strong sequal ready for next year. Strange how Call of Duty Wii didn't even chart. Damn it, I hope this doesn't mean even less support for 3rd party FPS on Wii..

You might be right, as a Nintendo rep told me( when I was complaining about the lack of stock) that they had under-estimated demand for Layton and were doing their best to get more stock to the UK so bodes well for the next ones.

Also the mysterious DS Novel is due for release post-christmas(the piece of paper she showed me said the 26th dec.), but she had no clue what it is.

Not really sure why you'd compare it to the elite. The 60gb has everything you need for playing games... the Elite just adds a bigger HDD and a pack in HDMI cable (something the PS3 doesn't come with anyway).

I assume you use a ethernet cable for your network as to use the 360 wirelessly costs extra and to use SC4 as an example is not the best as the PS3 D-pad is much better than the 360 pad for fighting games.

There's nothing in the elite has that the 60gb doesn't that brings the machine closer to the functionality missing compared to the PS3... which was the original point you were trying to make by saying the price of the elite should be compared to the price of the PS3.

I just noticed X360's Tomb Raider performance....

Looks like that exclusive demo (and the 360 TV advertising spots I am seeing) didn't help matters.... :/
