to be honest for Wii U, most countries outside France/Germany are much closer to UK

You can buy Driveclub physical copy at lower price also. Not only the bundles affect good Driveclub sales.
Man, unbelieveable how Mordor and Evil Within are still charting while Dragon Age hasn't charted at all.
Seriously UK what the hell? 0_0
Do you have some numbers or you are calling it based on the UK chart position.
and i think DC must have destroyed Sunset Overdrive in Germany, France & rest of Europe too
I thought it was vs Forza?
Darn, I'm getting all my wars mixed up now.
I need a chart to keep up.
Is Ryse vs Infamous still a thing

If I'm reading this right, then December 2014 was down significantly relative to December 2013 -- around 9% down.
But something's wonky, yes? How is the retail market down 1.4% if last year's figure was £1.015 billion? See here:

(Terrible image and hard to read when you blow it up, but I have £1.015 billion in my spreadsheet from last year, which matches the blurry image included in that last link.)
Someone's revised last year's figures down, it appears, from £1.015 billion to £962 million (give or take).
Check my figures -- I'm very tired and it's very late.

Call of Duty is in a massive downward trend. Activision definitely needs Destiny to succeed. I dont think CoD is going to be lasting for more than few years or until or unless they do something crazy successful in it.
Its still the second best selling game of the year, WoW is still going stronger than other mmo's. COD will continue to do better than 95% of other console games for a while yet.
It needs to figure out where to make up for the decline.
Don't know if we'll get platform figures, but I'm not surprised by the final figure -- just surprised at what appears to be a revision to the previous figures. That puts into question lots of stuff.will we be getting platform wise sales? and are these figures inline with the monthly figures we use to get for each platform?

Watch Dogs is the only new IP to chart in the top twenty of 2014?
Christ...
Destiny is a new IP too.

I'm surprised The Last of Us isn't there. Didn't it sell close to 1m in the UK? I vaguely remember reading it sold extremely well over here....

Ok, I'm going with (a) I was very tired and/or (b) they may have edited the text. Looks like it's right now. Thanks!Yeah, 6.6% decline matches last year's figure (when accounting for rounding). So they don't seem to have revised last years, although that is actually something they often do. Most of their old numbers are out of date.
Watch Dogs has done pretty well considering how much more Destiny was hyped and marketed.

Ha! Well, I wasn't completely out of it, eh? Glad that last year's figure didn't get a massive revision. Thanks, all. Here's the answer

After answering to your post I realized that they must have edited the article but it was already too late since my message was already quoted.
2015 gets underway with an unchanged Top 3, meaning Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (-51%) has now achieved 6 weeks at No1, one more week than predecessor Ghosts.
Grand Theft Auto V (-48%) is not far behind at No2, staying ahead of FIFA 15 (-57%) at No3. Ubisofts top sellers Far Cry 4 (-42%) and Assassins Creed: Unity (-48%) switch places with Far Cry moving up one place to No4 and Creed slipping down one place to No5. Ubisoft also find themselves at No6 with The Crew (-54%) a non-mover.
Only 3,000 sales separate No7 from No10 as Destiny (-47%) at No7 and WWE 2K15 (-40%) at No8 both manage to break back into the Top 10, up from Nos 11 and 12 respectively. DriveClub (-56%) and Minecraft: Xbox Edition (-57%) are less fortunate, both dropping 2 places to Nos 9 and 10. In a week not known for new releases Nintendo newcomer Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Wii U debuts at No16.
GTA V next gen performance is something else. it's only a port yet managed to outsell blockbusters like Destiny and Watch_Dogs.
That's because is one of the best game ever...GTA V next gen performance is something else. it's only a port yet managed to outsell blockbusters like Destiny and Watch_Dogs.
GTA V next gen performance is something else. it's only a port yet managed to outsell blockbusters like Destiny and Watch_Dogs.
The last gen versions are contributing to that number as well. The game has been selling well all year.
