Yep, that first gif is the screen I was talking about. Really can't figure out what it'd be used for. Maybe it's a post-heist screen? It looks like he's jumping out of a window here, so this could be a screen showing what you've nabbed after you've escaped the dungeon for a day. A post-session progress report.
.

Basically this. It lists the objectives the group has fulfilled.

It says:

"Sneaked into the interior of the castle"
"Discovered the safe room"
"Reached the second floor of west castle"

Oh, I just noticed that it does look a bit different. He's prettier here.

Yeah, that image looks better than this:

Yeah. That should make dungeons interesting.

Also, it looks like Queen appears in the bank dungeon (maybe her family has money issues) and Noir appears in the space dungeon, so it looks like the join dates are:

April (Castle) MC, Ryuji, Anne, Morgana
May (Art Gallery) - Yusuke
July (Bank) - Queen
August (Egypt) - Futaba
September (Space Station) - Noir
October - final dude (He appears for the casino dungeon anyway which is in November)

On the Casino dungeon:

Casino dungeon seems to get multiple visits. In November it seems to be the MC solo, then he gets arrested when leaving. I'd guess that the group shot is after that.

Related: the opening part to PV4 makes me wonder
if the game will start in media res. The "how much of it is true?" line especially.

MC: How much do you want to know?
Woman: Everything.
MC: Okay. *Starts recounting every day up until that day*
MC: And that's how me and *insert name* spent a long time together.
Woman: ......I didn't need to know that much.

If this is the case...
then I wonder if a certain trope is in effect. In the image below, the protagonist has vastly higher HP/SP values than normal. Maybe they start you off with the whole works and then he gets arrested?

That's true, the entire first casino heist could be the intro sequence, to avoid the issue P4 had with it taking a while before any dungeons. I was just thinking of the interrogation part when I suggested that. Trails of Cold Steel did something similar.

I thought it was a bit weird that they showed something that appeared to be so late in the game (the protagonist being arrested) in so many of the trailers. So that's why I figured they were gonna pace it like that. It also explains why the HP/SP values are all over the place, and why the protagonist is going solo at one point in that same dungeon.

Just in case anyone was wondering: The Japanese website confirms that all DLC from the CE will be available to everyone later. The custom theme is exclusive to the set, though.

Sounds right.

I read a theory that the whole game will basically be a flashback from the interrogation scene, which would be interesting.

Yeah, same as P4D then. Probably won't be too expensive either.

As much as I want a P5 theme, probably not worth importing the entire set for. I'm sure there will be others anyway. That's the only thing Atlus USA might not bring over though.

That fits pretty well with my theory MC, if less of a self-insert, might arc similiar ly to John from Red Dead in that he's meant to be reforming himself and yet, he's still pulling heists. Even though its for a greater good, they're could be a piece of gum and the others that enjoys the thrill so much they can't let it go. This is their one true escape from daily life.

FFX style where it catches up super late in the game. Definitely plausible

Medias res is great. Wish it was used more often. I loooooved if in FFX.

Just heard that the anime is suppose to start before the game is released. Is this true? if it is do we know if the anime is a prequel or if the anime follows the events of the game?

Mixed news on that. It's called a prologue anime, but it also says that it depicts a successful heist, so it wouldn't make sense for it to be before the game. It's most likely to be something like Brotherhood, a side story that takes place early in the game.

Part about upping the difficulty may be a mistranslation. I've seen another comment saying that he's actually talking about the performance on PS4.

The new protagonist AoA picture is leaps and bounds better.

One thing I realised, is that I'm really, really surpised how much Soejima art is in the game. There's a crazy amount. I had expected that due to the larger scale of P5, this wouldn't be the case. Fortunately, I was wrong. It seems like, just like before, he's done everything.

I also only just realised the whole "Student council president is secretly a badass" thing is really, really bleh, but I still think she seems like a really cool character.

The final guy also has a really good design. Easily the best of the male characters, I'd say.

I also watched the subbed trailer, and my fear that I just won't care as much about the characters has come back. The heightened stakes make it all seem really cheesey to me, and it seems like the real world plays a large part in the phantom thief part of the story.

I actually wonder if she'll lose her position in the game.

Nada. We know there's that "Cooperation" option on the menu from PV1, and that's it pretty much.

I'm half curious to see the meltdown if they remove social link to the degree that you can have a romance link. Doubt it due to the appeal it has to a significant portion of the fanbase.

Not really been much focus at all on non-party member/antagonistic characters in the trailers yet. Aside from maybe that one guy on the plane, and the shop keepers in PV1.

Mobile Suit Gooch

Grundle: The Awakening
What's going on? All I know is that they're playing at P5 intro at the place.

Biggest marketing I've never seen for a Persona game yet. Use to be word of mouth...And now....

Sup guys, I'm playing Persona 4 (PS2) and I'm having a bit of trouble with the Hermit Social Link. I'm already at level 9 and caught a Huge Fish to get the angler's set, but when I talk to the old man he doesn't have the angler's set up to trade. Am I doing something wrong or will his stock/trade items eventually change?

The best part about having a release date relatively close is that we'll start to get regular video updates on the various systems and/or characters I imagine They usually start laying out weekly or biweekly updates up until release.

No more waiting for the next countdown!

Having the high school costumes as DLC is complete garbage. Really making me frown...

I would not expect regular updates like that for Persona 5 in that way like we've been seeing for any of Atlus' other recent games.

Besides, we pretty much already have another countdown: http://persona5.jp/e3/

It makes perfect sense from a business perspective. Also you still get the Syujin and Kousei outfits. I am actually surprised that they didn't make the beach episode DLC, to be honest.

It just really hit me this morning E3 is only a month out. We're already experiencing the shortest gap we have and that's before factoring I more actual new stuff might be in Dengeki/Famitsu next week.
