I really wanted Silent Hills to happen and if someone saved it, I'd be thrilled, wouldn't matter if it was Microsoft or Sony (provided Kojima and Del Toro were still on it) but I knew if was fake and it hurts as a Silent Hill fan to lose hope like that. Such a shame that Konami gets to hold that franchise hostage.
Because E3 is coming and people's expectations will only get higher on that possibility. Only to be let down.
And the game won't happen. Even if the IP were let go, there is still the issue of Del Toro, Kojima, and what's his face getting together again.

Yeah, I believe it was just before E3 that he flat out said they aren't working on Twisted Metal. Sure enough at Sony's conference that year they announced Twisted Metal lol.

Back in the day, David Jaffe denied his involvement to the rumored PS3 Twisted Metal. This changed at E3 2010 when he closed Sony's press conference with the reveal of the game.

I think we all deserve one. Lesson learned I suppose, keep your nose clean and maybe you'll get member status again some day.
It's a comedy series in which red and blue Halo men talk funny and make jokes at one another. Rooster Teeth never should have been referenced by IGN or anyone else as a credible or journalistic entity.

The rumor was a ridiculous fanboy's wet dream, and it's even more ridiculous that some sites reported it as real. I'm personally glad there's no chance, that Silent Hills would become ammunition in a console war, as it deserves better. Just like its longtime fans, who actually played PT.

Well, I don't see how it's better for the PT players who'd have to get another system for it. Kinda like it would have been the same whether REmake was done or not at the time, as it took 13 years for many to get to play the game.

IGN used to be a reliable game news site dude. Back in the late 90s/early 00s it was the go to place to get breaking news. But in the past few years I guess they have gotten really bad at becoming a rumor mongering site.
