Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is finally back on sale

damn that is just ridiculous. Capcom must be thrilled. Another franchise to milk, and this one I do not mind one bit.

I remember when this came out I loved it and wished it could be a sleeper hit like Katamari Damacy. It's well on its way, if not there already. :D

I mean take the warnings from others about Toys N Joys to heart, but it sounds like everyone here who ordered their game from them got them in a timely manner. Seeing how well this went, I may order from them again (Super Princess Peach is $30 there, cheapest I've seen it. Not that it matters w/$7.95 shipping tacked on though). Now I just need to get my other two buddies' attention so they can get copies for themselves, if not now, in August. I'm glad Capcom is responding to the demand! (And I'm glad I got the copy I did!)

Wonder how much NCSX will charge for it next time? $50?

Ridiculous? More like FANTASTIC

This means that the chances for seeing the others in the series not yet released here are up from "No chance in hell" to "Very likely"

It's the best news all year for adventure gamers

Actually, I thought it was confirmed that they're remaking the 2nd one for North America. Then they just need to remake the 3rd one for DS and BAM! We're ready for the all new #4 baby!

I ordered from Toys n Joys on the 14th and got the e-mail 3 days later on the 17th saying they got my payment and that it would be shipped within a few days. They said they'll send me the tracking number once it ships, but I haven't gotten that yet.

I guess 3 days is within the time limit of "a few days" still. I'll be concerned if I don't get that e-mail by Friday though.

For you Canadian gamers out there, I picked up a copy from an EB in Markham, Ontario yesterday. The salesperson indicated that they are selling briskly. However, if one EB has 'em, others probably do, too.

So I never got the tracking number from Toys n Joys, but the package (which had a tracking number on it) came in the mail today. :)

Because KD is regarded as one o fthe most popular games of that year and we got all the rest of the games in the series.
Oh, but it sounded like you just wanted to be a sleeper hit and not a bigger mainstream hit.

Well we're getting PW2 and New Ace Attorney, so it's not like it needs to be more popular. Besides, there aren't enough copies in these reprints for the mainstream gamers. :lol

Yeah, I can back up the game being available in Canadian EBs.

I was thinking about ordering from Play-Asia.... I was at a local game store today and the bastards were gouging based on the game's rarity ($100 CDN). At that point, my mind was pretty much made up, but I went to an EB and lo and behold, they had the game new for $40.

I had sort of lost hope of it showing up at EB, given that it never seemed to appear on their site, and I'd checked a few times. So it was a pleasant surprise.

Fun game so far...

Started playing this yesterday and HOT DAMN it's good (or should I say Sah-wit? See what I did there?). Gonna start playing chapter three today.

Got my copy from PA yesterday (took exactly a week from purchase to get here with cheapest shipping, reasonable to me). The game is a lot of fun. I might replay it in Japanese after I finish it in English to try and brush up my skills.

Just to be sure, the Japanese version contains the English version? So what's the big deal about getting the U.S. version if Japanese copies are plentiful?

For the umpteenth time, yes, the Japanese version contain full English. The Japanese version, however, was also sold out for quite a while. But has been released as a "best price" type of reprint now. Some people are hesitant to get reprints because they usually get worse boxarts.

Anyway, the reprint can be bought here if your're still interested.

Also, some people seem to be afraid of importing for whatever reason.

Thank you Toys'n'Joys!

So yeah...I got the game from Play-Asia. Imports ftw. (btw, I suck at putting on screen protectors, so my Hori ones have some dust specks under them now. FTL.) :(

Oh incidentally, is there any way I can access an electronic version of the game manual in English? I'm afraid my Japanese is non-existent, but I'd love to be able to check out the manual in English. :( :( :(

That game has been re-sealed in plastic, that's not what the original plastic looks like.

Toys n Joys have been known to sell used games as new several times before, people should really stay away from them.

some DS games are wrapped like that though, maybe this is one of them? maybe only the reprints are.

are you sure? i think mine was like that and i am guite sure it was new. 99.99% sure. kinda like castlevania: DoS was sealed.

I can't recall ever seeing a game sealed like that. The plastic is always neatly folded and not crimped together like that.

I might be wrong, but given the history of Toys n Joys I think it's more likely that they have re-sealed a used copy.

they just relisted it at the time other retailers also got it in stock though, btw my castlevania from best buy was also sealed like that. and I THINK Trauma Center at launch was also. maybe Lost in Blue also but those last two were a while back.

Actually, when I think about it.. my copy of Viewtiful Joe was sealed like that, but I ordered that one from Canada and they had a french manual bundled together with the box (the manual was bigger than the box itself) so I thought it was just a special thing because the manual didn't include french.

Maybe it's a capcom thing.

I ordered PW from www.walmart.com about 2 weeks ago and the seal on it looked exactly what's in that picture. I initially thought it was resealed by someone but i think that's just how capcom is doing their reprints for the game.

So.... easy question.. should I buy this?

I mean what exactly is it about? Do I need to know anything about being a Birdman.. I mean Lawyer in order to "get it"? I watched some of the videos on GameSpot and the one with the bird made me laugh which makes me think it's poking fun. If it's not too technical, I'll definately seek it out. If it's too much of an actual "Need to know the trade" game I'll pass.

I mean I did just purchase Ouendan. A game I never thought I'd buy. So anything can happen.

Edit: Also, the soundtrack is REALLY awesome. Thanks to whoever posted it. :D

How about making up your own mind? The game has been praised by, well.. pretty much everyone. It has sold out more than once, forcing Capcom to release reprint after reprint. The series already have twp sequels in Japan, with a fourth game in the works. So far two of these sequels have been confirmed for a western launch. I'll ask you an easy question.. What do you think?

Easy answer:
Yes! Yes you SHOULD.

Amazon is actually carrying games THEMSELVES now?!?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
