Indeed since getting paid to make a game they wanted to make but for a console some fans hate seem to hate is not worth it.
Actually Sega shitted on the fans, and Sony and Microsoft just forgot the title existed in the first place.
Fans are grateful someone picked it up and published it tho.
The IP would be dead anyway (and without a second game) if Platinum didn't "take the bait".

You should probably at least read the original post. Bayonetta WAS dead before Nintendo stepped in. Kind of what the article is about, even.

Platinum is such a game whore! Just tricking out their developers all over town! No respect.
Fans aren't even the only issue here. What else did Platinum have in the pipeline besides Wonderful 101 and Bayo 2? There's that rumored game for Xbox One, but anyway, people are currently employed at Platinum and actually want to, you know, work and get paid. Why would they deny themselves that by refusing to work with a company which actually wants to publish their games? That's just self-sabotage.

Same here. I got a Wii U for Ninty's 1st party and TW101/Bayonetta 2, I'll also get a Xbone if the Platinum rumor turns out true and I'll buy a PS4 if a Miyazaki made Demon's Souls 2 is also true. I go where the games go, simple as that.

This. Platinum have been given a chance to make a game that they otherwise wouldn't have. Either buy the game and support them or don't buy the game, its really that simple. I'm amazed all this whinging and port begging has been allowed to continue for over 20 pages.

That game's existence is more debatable than Bigfoot's.
That said, i would buy an XBOX ONE for an exclusive Platinum Game. That's what fans do.

I'm Mister Poolman, and this is my favorite post on NeoGaf.
On topic, I'm truly interested on getting a WiiU on a foreseeable future, I only played Bayo1 for a while on X-Box (I didn't liked the original character's design), but I've been softening to this Bayo2 (all I've seen makes it look insane, in a good insane kind of way).
Should I track Bayo1 to understand this? or should I roll on insanity and go just for Bayo2?

Bayo1 was among my top five games from last gen alongside Mario Galaxy and Dark Souls so go for it. Pretty sure most of gaf feels the same about the game as well.

Without Nintendo there would be NO Bayonetta 2 at all, Sega pulled the plug and no-one else was stepping in to fund it.
Are you saying that you would rather wish that Nintendo didn't save Bayonetta 2 and the project just remain dead forever? If so then you can't really call yourself a Bayonetta fan, plus it's disrespectful towards Platinum games who have been given a second chance to make the game that they want to.
