Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

I'm tempted to pick up Rapala Pro Bass Fishing 2010. I think the Move could work really well with a fishing game. Anyone hear or read anything about it?

Does it support Move? I thought it was coming with some custom new-fangled controller thingy on the PS3 and 360.

It would make a lot of sense to support Move on PS3, but Activision likes to sell their plastic.

(Also, if it did support Move I think it would be a first for Activision - they've been very vocally skeptical of the HD motion control platforms, or the value of supporting them).

I'm pleasantly surprised by Planet Minigolf which I've picked up yesterday. I haven't played too much yet, but the Move controls are pretty good (once you figure them out, it took me a few minutes) and most importantly they're sofa compatible so you don't have to stand up if you don't want to. The title definitely is improved through Move.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw they were selling it last night. Gamestop.com has it listed for a street date of Sept. 28th and they have two versions of the game. The one comes with the fishing rod controller and the other is just the game for 40 bills.

edit : Forget about the Nav Con finally, that's stupid ...

Are any reviews or impressions on the different gun accessories out ? don't know which one deserves my moneyzzz

I don't know about anyone else, but when playing Time Crisis and The Shoot it just felt right holding just the Move controller. I can see people wanting one, but if you do want one I'd suggest holding off until Sony releases one.

Just recieved one more Move from Sony.
How come it won't connect?

I have just charged it a bit and everytime I press the 'Home' button, the red indicator blinks on the controller but then it stops. Anyone knows what the problem may be? =/

I really want to try Time Crisis demo, but I guess it's only in the US, right?

Yeah, the Time Crisis demo came with the Playstation Move starter kit in America. It sold me on the game after playing through it about a half a dozen times.

Yep that's what I was thinking too. And I don't even have my Move yet :( (Damn you Zavvi ! )

Rapala Pro Bass Fishing 2010 is the only game I've seen have the Move Compatible thing in the top corner and show two move remotes. I wonder you hold the one remote like its the fishing rod and use the other to reel in the fish.

please everyone be warned, there has yet to be a decent Rapala game

Finally got my Move a couple days ago. Like most have said, Sports Chamipons is awesome. My 3 year old daughter loves the Eyepet demo so much that I just ordered the full version.

For anyone looking for all the demos, just create an EU account. They released those demos for free on the store but not in the US store for some reason. I didn't buy a bundle so that's how I had to get all of the demos.

Is it like the eyetoy where you simply can't play in the dark?

I unboxed my Move last night and played the Time Crisis demo. After calibrating it the game was working great and then after about 2 minutes the game pauses saying the move is no longer in the camera's range - I hadn't moved and the camera was set to be zoomed out and capture everything in the area. I figure zooming in the camera should solve it but before getting my hopes high I just wanted to check if people are reporting success playing like a vampire in the dark.
Sooo I tried Time Crisis again last night. Calibrated using the "crosshair" option then played. Again, after two minutes it told me my Move was no in the camera's sight. I then used the "hold select" quick calibration and it worked fine afterwards. Only game to give me a problem, everything else worked perfectly.

Is there some secret to Time Crisis? Do I not pop out of shield until the shooting stops? So far it has seemed so random that I'll get shot sometimes and other times not. Makes me miss the simplicity of House of the Dead. I do like it in comparison to the Shoot which I'm sure I have the most depressed look on my face as I headshot after headshot effortlessly.

:lol Elmo likes it

Bought Flight Control HD and Tumble off psn.

Had been sceptical but was surprised by a lot of positive impressions of both ITT.

Guess will be busy for quite a while, what with Sports Champions and RUSE, RE5 and above two additions.

Good times

What a fucking nightmare I have sometimes with calibrating. Just got RUSE so tried it with that (demo was fine and dandy with it) and I couldn't get it to properly calibrate. This was just in normal daylight. So I closed the blind tried it again... still no good. Turned the light on... still no good. Quit game, played Flight Control (never had a problem with this game) worked fine, so I loaded RUSE back up and it played fine in exactly the same light it wouldn't play in before.

Got 2 Move controllers now and a Navcon which is really cool, sans vibration.

I had it twice happen where SC just wouldn't do the initial pre game synch/calibration. Both times rebooting the game fixed it.

Flight Control HD looks really good and I wish they'd just release it on the US Store.

I've had a problem like this a couple of times.

Most recent was last night, I had gone out and left SC on. I came back to the "Please connect Motion Controller" screen, turned it on, but couldn't get the calibration to work. The orb would blink but it kept failing.

Just like the other couple of times I had this issue, unplugging and replugging the PSEye fixed it. Seems like the camera driver just freezes sometimes, but it's really a bug that could confuse a lot of casuals for a long time... they need to fix it.

They really should have ignored the reeling part of the game and mapped it to holding a button. One move controller is really all you need for a fishing game, I hope devs make note of this in the future. They could have also given you the choice to play with 1 or 2 moves.

why is there no Tumble thread?

Anyways, can someone please explain the target medals to me? do i just need to get a block to cover them?

pretty awesome game, but it's definitely got a few quirks.

I'm sure they allow only one to be used at a time as well, though reeling seems like part of the fun...

You just need to hit them with a block. There may be some that can be reached with properly stacked blocks, but I also know there are some you can only get by hitting them with a moving block.

Yup. You will see the target medal (or is it the block?) become transparent when it is in the right position before dropping it. Good luck & remain steady!
