Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

When are the other batch of move games coming out? Some websites say they are releasing tomorrow while others say next week... :/

By other batch I mean:

- TV Superstars
- The Shoot
- The Fight

etc etc.

I'm sure I heard The Shoot was the 19th, not sure about the others.

Swapped one of my Moves for a Starter Pack, hopefully my camera woes will end now.

Trying to find a second "wand" is a massive pain in the ass.
I had some trouble last week, but they seem to be available now (In the UK at least).

Managed to swap one of my Moves for a Starter Pack, my original Eye of Judgment camera had given up on me. It's all so much more responsive now! <3 (The old camera kept dropping out)

Is there a difference between the old and the new camera?

I'm still using the old one and sometimes the calibration ist just totally off...

I don't think so. In my case, the old camera was just broken. I noticed it failing to detect often, and realised why when I was trying to calibrate for Sports Champions - the image would intermittently go to a static-type display.

So what gives, why are there no new games out yet?

The Shoot was supposed to be out, now next week. The Fight and TV Superstars are listed as the 26th :/

I am honestly a little stupefied at how little software is out for Move after a month. Why not at least toss a PSN title up or something? I'd love to be able to play Flight Control.

I mean, it's not like they're launching a whole new console, people shoulda been cracking on Wii ports since the thing was announced at the very least.

TV Superstars is this week I think, The Shoot was always next week. Not sure about the date on The Fight.

As for PSN you have Tumble, and Flight Control is available on the EU PSN (I'm not sure we ever got to the bottom of why it wasn't going to be released in the US). Support has been patched into Heavy Rain, Eyepet, Resident Evil 5 Gold and MAG to name just a few. On top of the currently available retail games I don't think it's too bad an offering after a month.

tl;dc: They don't want to add Move as an alternate control scheme like in Killzone or MAG, they would rather design a Move game from the ground up.

So maybe their fourth game this gen will be a Move game. Unlikely, but possible.

Unless they split/build a new studio like Insomniac did. A small studio for Move/PSN games, main studio for main games. Rotate people to avoid burnout.

I would wholeheartedly support the creation of this proposed 'Naughty Puppy' satellite studio.

Welcome to the family. :D

I've been playing EyePet with Move over the last couple of days. Much better than with that card that came with the EU version. Gonna get my little sister to do the singing challenges haha. I had previously duped one of them using my guitar, but it looks like on one of them I'll need to use a keyboard as it needs sustained notes.

I must have looked like a total mentalist playing songs on my guitar to a pet that doesn't exist in order to teach it how to sing. :lol

have fun :)

So should I get Move now or wait a couple months for games like Killzone? Sports Champions seems cool and I think I'd enjoy The Shoot but the abundance of titles I'm seeing like Eyepets and Singstar Dance give me the impression Move is more casual/"compatible" with a few older core games than something really awesome to experience for "core" gamers right now.

Get 2 moves controllers and sports champions and get some exercise.
It will build up your endurance for a nice stamina run for Killzone3.
:D

All things being equal, will playing KZ3 / Socom 4 with Move be an advantage over control pad users? If so, are we talking a big difference like a KB&M would provide, or smaller.

Well I tried socom recently and aiming was effortless and very fast. For me at least the move controls will be a big advantage in this game.

Thinking about getting a Move bundle soon. Which games are a must?

Will probably get RE5: Gold, MAG, or eyepet. Which Move specific games are good?

I think the consensus is that Sports Champions, Tumble and Flight Control HD are the cream of the crop.

- Sports Champion (for active family fun);
- MAG (for hardcore FPS-ing);
- Start The Party (for hilarious family fun).

Finally picked this up at Toys R Us for their buy 2 get 1 free offer.

Got the Controller, sub controller and sports champion for 90 bucks.

Cashier charged me for a warranty i didnt ask for. Got that money back.

After looking at the Giantbomb quicklook, I want Time Crisis. Anyone tried it with the Gun attachement? Is it worth it?

The Time Crisis games must feel stupid with a gun attachment, to feel more honest with the games, you'd need a gatling gun attachment or something.

anyone else think that the pointer feels very sluggish/laggy in resident evil 5? i guess the wii was better at pointing than the move :( I hope future games will use some better algorithm than capcom used, because the main reason I got the move was that I wanted to play hd-shooters with metroid prime 3-controls...

How odd. It's extremely nimble and responsive for me. The movement is still painfully slow and gamebreakingly stupid but the pointer aiming works like a dream.

I think it works extremely well. The game is not that great, but playing with the Move is the best way to play it. By faaaaaaaaaaaar. :)
