Wow, cool game on the blog that some of you may have interest in.

Looks like it's coming out by end of year, ps4/ps3/VITA!

Name - Siralim
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015...-retro-monster-collecting-to-ps4-ps3-ps-vita/

key points from blog post --
"Siralim is a deep, monster capture RPG where you can summon and customize hundreds of creatures to fight by your side. You’ll need these creatures to help you travel through randomly-generated dungeons and complete randomized quests."

Siralim is your upgradeable castle -- "You can also upgrade Siralim to add new rooms and entice new citizens to live in your kingdom, thereby unlocking new game features."

crafting -"You can craft and enchant equipment to augment your creatures’ power, or to grant them new abilities. There are more than 500 different crafting materials to collect."

battle -- "Battles are turn-based, similar to what you might find in early Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy games. Conversely, you’re not doing any of the fighting yourself; instead, you’ll summon creatures to fight for you! There are more than 300 unique creatures to capture and summon, and each one has its own unique abilities. "

all sort of other stuff in the blog, like hatching eggs and what not to create new monsters.

day 1 for me.

This caught my, um, ear, on the Vita Lounge podcast... sounds cool. It's out on PC now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/362090/ (and Android/iOS for free)

I live in Mexico, it always takes 2 weeks to get any game over here after they are released in the USA, so now I'm all digital because fuck waiting.

And it's freaking Danganronpa, there are going to be spoilers EVERYWHERE!

So just double dip. :p

Anyone play Quiet, Please ? Bought it for $5 bucks (The Quiet Collection with the seasonal stories) but haven't got to playing it. Curious of impressions here.

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/the-quiet-collection-psvita/

They are OK kinda slow and simple but can be fun. Here is a video of the gameplay.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpF7CxVb5_o

we are doomed PS4 (never heard of it, but it's a dual stick shooter for $5)
titan souls vita (i've heard of it but have little idea what this is, getting it for the name alone)

Titan Souls is like a game with nothing but boss battles. Hated how you tediously had to go over a boring map everytime you died. It is ok.

We Are Doomed is the worst twin stick shooters I have played.

Also played MasterCube on PS4 and it is more like a tech demo of a twin stick shooter. I'll put up a video soon of it. Not as bad as We Are Doomed.

Oh man, completely forgot about Steins Gate releasing today. Might wait on it since I have a new semester and Phantom Pain around the corner.

I'm not even gonna into the game's OT out of fear. No Twitter either. I'll stick to this thread if we make a collective agreement not to discuss any plot or gameplay elements of the game, and AnimeGAF. Everything else is going to be closed until I finish the game.

Eh, I assume the IOS version has iap.

The steam version is 9.99 like the vita version will be... and it's getting 'very positive' reviews on steam which means it's most definitely a day 1 purchase for me since I want it on vita.

I'm so confused. You say it's the worst ever and link to a review that absolutely loved it.

From the review:

"If you are any kind of a score or twin stick shooter junkie this is your nirvana. This game has the potential to completely draw you in and in games like this, that is a great feeling and it truly adds to the immersion. I love these kinds of games and this is probably the best example of the genre in some time. I completely endorse this game and I sense I will be playing it for some time to come."

After reading that review I'm not sure how i could possibly avoid spending $5 to try it out, even with you telling me it's the worst ever. I just love my dual stick shooters too much to skip it.

I thought I reviewed that. Whoops. I disagree with the opinion stated. I don't remember what I reviewed anymore. :)

Here is my Back to Bed video:

It is a pretty damn good puzzle game.

Pretty much. Ended up getting spoiled in Danganronpa 2's OT last year.

Given prior performance I can definitely wait for Danganronpa to go on sale. Both of the previous titles did not take long at all to reach my price threshold.

The playstation blog post lists a bunch of free One piece pirate warriors 3 DLC, but I don't see it anywhere in the store. I was also told previous owners of dishonored get a discount to upgrade to the ps4 version but that's not here either...

Finally managed to get a ps4 but I hilariously can't download my ps4 games I own digitally since I won't have Internet for week while I switch Internet providers. Any recommendations for retail games I can find around $20 for ps4?

It's not 20 dollars but if you haven't got it yet, just get Bloodborne. Get it later.

For games around 20 dollars let's see, from Amazon.com:
Destiny is 19$, you'll either love or hate it but definitely worth purchase at that price.
The Evil Within is 20$, personally I liked it but seems to share opinions, if you liked RE4 you'll like it I think.
Metro Redux is 20$, great story-FPS games, recommended.

Lots of other games for that price there too, I haven't played these myself but might be something worth checking out: Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Assassins Creed IV/Unity, Watch_Dogs and Far Cry 4.

starting to see why it's less loved, at first it was cool
I don't think it's fair to judge the story or pacing on Dangan games until they're over for the most part; they like to pull fast ones on you and completely flip your world upside down (and not just with regards to the end-game either). It's why they're so good - they lull you into a false sense of security or truth, and then smash it to pieces with a giant Monokuma.

There were parts in both of the already released ones that had me thinking I knew what was up or that I was getting disinterested - but looking back at the whole thing, those bits only served to make the bits that followed feel more real, and never lasted long at all - they just stood out because the rest of it was so good. Danganronpa is a giant mind fuck, but it's like being mind fucked by a porn star of mind fucks; you're cool with it 'cause it's so good.

My $0.02.

Take your time, savor the lesser Danganronpa title.

Destiny is useless without online.

Edit: sorry for the double post

Wolfenstein, no doubt.

Far Cry 4 is pretty darn good too, but I had a bit of 'more of the same' feeling of Far Cry 3, for better or worse.

Infamous SS is worth checking out.

The Order is worth checking out. I enjoyed it, but some hate it.

But overall? Wolfenstein. What a fun fps.

For racing, NFS Rivals is fun too. and better offline, at least at first.

Are there any games on the horizon that's similar to Diablo-Torchlight for Vita?

I want to play a loot based isometric rpg but unfortunately Vita really lacks on that department. I already played Dungeon Hunter and since I live in Europe I can't download Fantasy Hero and Damascus Gear. I remember there was Warrior's Lair but it got cancelled.

Fantasy Hero is up in Europe. Or do you mean there's parts of Europe where it didn't release?

The only other option I can think of is Silent Hill: Book of Memories, which I hear has similar style of gameplay.

You could always try another game with looting. Borderlands or Gundam Breaker for example.

P.S. I think I've said it before in this thread, but Diablo 3 would be a really good choice for a 3PP port.
