Podcasts, show, music or videos you can run in the background while gaming?

So I’m working on my own online game private server and there’s lots of stuff to work on but it gets boring sometimes. I treat it as a hobby but there’s lots of testing to do and I’m in terrible need to find something interesting to do in the background without the need for visual attention. To give context, it’s like porting stuff from Dragonflight to Burning Crusade from World of Warcraft and balancing them or porting Marvel vs Capcom 2 characters to MvC1. Much of the testing requires actually playing the game so I figure to post this on the gaming section as a contrast to the past thread about people playing games on mute and doing stuff while playing.

Just give some suggestions. It could be game related or not. Just stuff that you find interesting. Maybe we have something in common or maybe you can open new stuff for me and others here in the community to things you are passionate about.

Amazon Prime runs a monthly Great courses for free. This month is Geology. You can listen and learn while you play. Or watch and learn with an ipad.

I'm in a bit of a youtube rut as well with the video suggestions. Only so many times you can watch a 7 hour podcast about how Kathleen Kennedy is about to be fired.
Same problem with me. I usually tune in to sports news in the NBA but after the huge moves in the off season earlier, news became stagnant. Now all people are talking about in that circle is some off the court drama about a player sleeping around with only fans and porn models.

I tried getting into MinMaxx podcast for background, but despite liking a lot of the staff - I find they're a lot louder and more annoying than in the Game Informer days.
I usually put on Easy Allies Podcast / Frame Trap, despite them being pretty meh these days.
Multiple politics podcasts.
I get a steady feed of Mike Tyson videos as well pretty much daily, and old Sam Harris debates from 10-15 years ago.
Not sure what else ... bodybuilding stuff. Greg Doucette and More Plates More Dates have occasionally interesting content.
Maximillian Dood for gaming stuff, and Kyle Bosman's solo channel.
Midnight's Edge does have good content sometimes as long as its not the long form podcast stuff that is mind numbing. Beyond the Trailer channel is like their political opposite, but they both give detailed breakdowns of theatrical runs and movie business analysis.
Thunderfoot is still interesting at times.
Rick Beato has a fantastic channel for music critique and analysis.

That might be it. I'm watching a bit less youtube than I used to. It is feeling stagnant.

Will definitely take a look at them soon. You reminded me of watching Greg and MPMD. It’s been a while since I watched them. I find that watching MPMD actually made me preemptively take care of my hair despite being a bodybuilding channel lol.

Microsoft Teams work meetings.
Now for real, i watch tv shows that way because 50% is uninteresting fluff and i have a short attention span. I use one of the mouse buttons to play/pause.

Just some stuff I tend to go back too.

Old Dennis Dyack interview where he complains about neogaf. I always find myself going back and re-listening. interview starts at 1:25:31

Jonathan blow talks about technology getting progressively shittier.

Riveting talk by Lorne Lanning on ars technica

Soviet KGB defector on psychological warfare

I have other stuff I could post but it’s probably too controversial.

The norm should be to not run anything in the background while gaming. You are automatically not engaged.
And unfortunately i do this sometimes with World of Warcraft as i watch other vids/music/podcasts while podcasts
