It's funny; I realized back in January when the "oh shit" began coming from Congress about R&R as the act of making a better replacement was a miracle so, why not shit up what was already there to make this look better since the repeal ship done sailed, you know?

Has anybody ever stopped to consider that maybe, just maybe, Sean Spicer is a shit himself? Who reports every day to be a shitty part of a shitty situation? Who has ignored every chance to get out because he doesn't want to? Because he likes shit? Prefers the shit? Wouldn't know what to do without the shit?

And, in such shitty case, deserves to be treated like shit?

I mean his paycheck might make it worthwhile. I dunno how much he makes though. But hell I'd put up with it for 6 figures.

Jeff Sessions did not disclose meetings with Russian officials when applying for security clearance, DOJ tells CNN

Sessions, who met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at least two times last year, didn't note those interactions on the form, which requires him to list "any contact" he or his family had with a "foreign government" or its "representatives" over the past seven years, officials said.

...Sessions initially listed a year's worth of meetings with foreign officials on the security clearance form, according to Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores. But she says he and his staff were then told by an FBI employee who assisted in filling out the form, known as the SF-86, that he didn't need to list dozens of meetings with foreign ambassadors that happened in his capacity as a senator.

The FBI declined to comment for this story.

Letting it pass and asking Dems to come to the table isn't a reasonable path forward for any healthcare changes. It's a path forward to try and protect their asses.

Oh. My. Gosh. The Republicans compromised themselves so fundamentally, just to get to this moment, and then they blow apart. There isn't much of a payoff here, when you think about it. What lasting Trump initiative would survive his resignation or impeachment? A lot of what he's done up to now relies on executive orders. His budget is DOA. The AHCA is toxic in the Senate. They're either about to blow up the debt ceiling or print money and inflate to pay obligations. That isn't a legacy that'll stand on its own two feet, let's say that.

Yeah after 2010-2016, we'll probably just burn it down and blame them. They didn't come to the table in good faith, why should we?

Schumer and Pelosi both seem to echo this a lot. They're not going to bail the GOP out at all.

And if Kennedy and Ginsburg wait until 2021 to retire that's not terribly meaningful.

Wolf Blitzer just made Jason Chaffetz sweat hard. Going after him about his stepping down from congress. Asking straight up if he would've done the same with hillary president, and if he was going to Fox News.

He is definitely hiding something. If you're empty nesters wouldn't your wife just move to D.C. for 18 months and then go wherever? Makes 0 sense

If Sessions is upfront about those meetings, it makes them only interesting to the conspiracy fringe. Lying about them was such an obviously dumb decision. This is why House of Cards is so hard to buy into, these people are all dupes.

Conversely that 54% of people who disapprove consists of 46% who strongly disapprove compared to only 8% who only somewhat disapprove.

Taking away health care from millions and making it unaffordable for millions more, though, actually affects these poor, white men. They'd turn pretty quick.
