I will have to try Resident Evil 6 properly.
Haha Yes I love RE story. You sold me on why I should play 6.
I need to play the mercenaries and outbreak etc To catch up fully.

If you havent played Code Veronica defo try it.
Id love for them to make a remake of it, get rid of some of the flaws and it would be a brilliant classic RE
I'm not sure if it will be a fun game for most. At the time, all I was doing was playing Resident Evil games. And Resident Evil 6 was on sale for $11-13 so I went for it. It turned out to be way better than I was expecting, I wasn't sure how bad it would be but I ended up beating the campaigns twice each. It was the ultimate deal for me, and I liked the campaigns personally. But they definitely are the furthest away from what you would want and expect for a Resident Evil game. The best part IMO is the heart all the protagonists showed, and in turn, the cutscenes

I beat Resident Evil Code: Veronica X it took me over a year and a half to complete lol. And I don't even think I was even playing on the hardest difficulty either. Very tough game

Although nothing is more frustrating than playing Resident Evil: Zero on the Nintendo Switch. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty. Played constantly from about two to three weeks before the U.S. quarantine for Covid-19 began, and played almost every other day or more until about middle of June. It's so difficult, but on top of that, there are glitches and overall poor design issues all across the board. Not saying it isn't good but this game is proving to be the most difficult game I have ever played more and more as I progress. I played about 20 minutes ago, and had to revert back to prior saves, a common theme for playing the game on the highest difficulty level. And the inventory system is REALLY starting to get on my nerves now. I went from, "I doubt it'll be an issue" to "I see what they mean now" to "Yeah, this is definitely wasting some time" to currently where I'm just loathing the devs for that poor, poor, incredibly foolish decision at times. It makes the game unique and far more realistic and dangerous without them, but on the other hand it also complicates situations and raises the chances of dying SIGNIFICANTLY. It also wastes a TON of time. It's finally wearing on my patience

I beat RE: CVX in late 2019 so I'm not wanting anything to do with it lmao. Not even if it is remade beautifully. It was extremely difficult and took me so long to complete. And RE0 is the most taxing game I have ever played in my life. I haven't been this frustrated with a challenge (next to RE: CVX) since I played Super Mario Sunshine; trying to get past the oldschool levels with that music playing in the background. I honestly cannot wait to beat this game at this point. I'd much rather read about it in wikipages or discuss it or whatever than actually play lol. That's how sick of it I am. Only want to be done with it and follow through with the challenge I set out to complete with this one

Original 1 and 3 are best, 2 is also good but I usually like 3rd one more for some reason. Remakes are ok too but I like originals on vita more

4 I still havent played, only the first few hours. I dont like that atmosphere too much and those enemies sound annoying, and maybe I am saving it for the future etc.

5 were also fun as coop and I really liked the change of scenery, but too bad racists cried so much that we probably dont see RE in non-white areas any time soon. (if it is fine to murder whites but when zombies are black because game happens on Africa and people cry about it, they are racists) Some kind of jungle / tribal version of RE would have lot of potential, like some kind of African island full of mysteries, Lost style but with zombies and angry voodoo men :messenger_grimmacing_ And Wesker had epic abs in this one, could not stop laughing when he were in the screen

6 I havent played, it looks like weird collection of smaller adventures

7 is epic and I played that demo for 20-40 hours, just crawling around that house trying to find secrets. Probably the best atmosphere of the series

both revelations were fun as coop, played them on wii u I think so it made it cool and different experience.

zero were fucking difficult and I had to give up

Village = had to use time machine for this one, but it is 10/10:messenger_savoring:

My Ranking (from best to worst, of the ones that I have played):

Resident Evil 2 remake
Resident Evil Code Veronica
Resident Evil 7
Resident Evil 1 remake
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 3 remake
Resident Evil 5

I'm definitely going to play zero, 2 original, and 3 original at some point.

I'm probably never going to play 1 original or 6.

RE 2 Remake is the best. Great gunplay, best map ever, amazing atmosphere, dangerous zombies, GORE, stunning visuals.

It feels so grounded, I love it.

As good as REmake is, I wish people would sometimes go back and give the actual Resident Evil 1 a shot, because it is PERFECT as it is. Especially now that you have gotten used to the REmake, the original might feel different and even surprise you in some ways. Trust me, the game holds up! It might be nostalgia talking (I bought the game when I was 10 years old, I still remember picking it up from the shelf of my local game store), but I just adore the game. And god damn, it started it all. It makes me sad to read that some RE "fans" haven't even played it. It's a true masterpiece!

I also voted for RE 4, RE 7 (VR baby!) and RE 2 Remake. But I also love 2, 3, CV and REmake. God damn I love this series so much.

The love for REmake2 warms my heart.

One statement regarding which is better, RE1 or RE1 Remake: I actually prefer the original RE1 over the remake. Reason is simple: crimson heads. I hate backtracking and burning the corpses of the zombies I killed, just so that these fuckers don't return from the dead and ruin my game. Re1 remake is better in almost every way, but the crimson heads ruin the flow for me. Can't stand them.

Rebirth on gc
Re2 on psx
Re4
Re3
Re5
Code veronica

Modern Remakes are nice but they don't achieve in modern times what the old games achieved in the old times if this make any sense to anyone.

Rebirth needs to win or this poll is rigged.

I think REmake 2 is the best one. Followed by 7 and 4. And the original Nemesis, which I replayed the most out of all. But RE3R, I love it. I beat it 6 times also. Its THE most fun RE to speedrun. There is no downtime and every cutscene and about any walking scene can be skipped. Its pacing is ridiculously perfect.

As for REbirth, its one of the greatest things ever when I saw it in 2001/2. But really, this game is also due for a new remake in RE2 style. Can you imagine exploring the mansion like that in 4k/RT, and fighting off Crimson heads?

Apart from 4 and 7 my personal favourite have to be RE5. The co-op of that game is absolutely blast to play with your friends if you haven't already.

This is really difficult. I have a soft spot for Code: Veronica because it was a hell of a Dreamcast game but RE4 blew me away on the Gamecube and I think REmake 2 was everything we could've asked for.

1. Resident Evil 4
2. Resident Evil 2 Remake
3. Resident Evil Code: Veronica
4. Resident Evil Remake
5. Resident Evil 2

RE2 remake is the objectively best game in the series right now. Love how it captures the essence of so much horror media. You have Night of the Living Dead in there, Terminator, Alien. It's so fucking good. On par with the best in horror.

My 4 picks:
- Resident Evil: Remake (awesome remake, improved upon the original)
- Resident Evil 2 (I still prefer the original over the remake, albeit it's graphically more dated)
- Resident Evil 3 (such a good game and the Nemesis encounters can be really terrifying with how sounds and music are used to subvert your expectations)
- Resident Evil: Code Veronica (I honestly love the game and the Hitchcock vibes. Never understood why it was so disliked. Played it on PS2)

I didn't vote RE4, even though it's a good game, because it's not my favorite Resident Evil game and it was such a drastic departure that moved away from what I loved about the series. I think the best part of RE4 was the village for me. So in that sense REVIII sounds interesting.

Worse colour pallette and worse pacing.

Remake is essentially Resident Evil: Remake: Brown Edition

I think the darker look and more muted colours are an artistic choice to make the game more atmospheric/scary. All the REmake rooms you show there have more of a claustrophobic and unsettling quality to them imo.
