Possible Kojima Productions Reveal in Three Days?

I still can't believe it would actually be Sunny. Sunny's creation, fine. That is likely. If it's Sunny, well that's just pointless.

I'm missing the MGS3 one, it's shown in the church scene behind Eva on a wall.

It was almost GOTF until Big Boss shat on the carpet.

At that piont the game was over, your controller was already put on the floor. I still defend my theory that after the credits begin to roll nothing should effect your enjoyment of what you just played. Was it stupid, yeah, horrible ending, doesn't change anything about how amazing the game was.

I'd hate to be the one that says this, but what's wrong with Fortune's breasts in that photo? Was there something wrong with the artist's eyes or something?

It's the only part of the picture that is well drawn, he he!

Knowing Kojima, he would probably not waste an adult Sunny by turning her into a robot. He would make her a big-breasted big-assed female genius engineer who built a cyborg ninja.

Who gets her freak on with a middle-aged Otacon

I'm seriously starting to think that these characters are "fake" and are just "patchworks" of different MGS characters...

Fuck you guys.
Big Boss made the ending for me.
You're not alone,
I liked BB's return at the end as well. However, I honestly felt that Snake died too many times, same as Raiden. Snake should have died in the GW room, when he was going into a seizure/cardiac arrest/something.

And besides, him killing himself w/ a gun would have been too anticlimactic if you ask me.

Where are those art posters originally from? Anyone know? I remember seeing some in MGS4 but were they made specifically for that or something?

Why would someone who hasn't finished 4 be reading this thread? Metal Gear is not a series that you look into future installments without having finished the previous one, for the sake of spoilers and the fact that you would be totally lost in the flurry of speculation.

So judging from that magazine cover, it'd appear this new Metal Gear will be on a Sony system?

Guess I don't need to buy a 360.

Well, at least you won't buy a 360, 'cause i can't even afford a 360, less a PS3.

I hope I'll receive a PS3 a a birthday present (cross fingers)

???

I'm not sure what you're saying, but all I'm saying is I enjoyed MGS4 so much that a Metal Gear on 360 would tempt me to pick up the system, despite the fact I'm not made of money either, and despite the fact there's little to distinguish the two systems.

Man your comment made me feel bad. ;__;

Agreed. Also, there is no context, as someone else said. Anybody who knows who it is, any thoughts?

Also, to the guys talking about 360 MGS stuff. I had only a 360 when MGS4 was about to come out. Know what I did? I fucking got my money and bought a PS3 the day before, and picked up MGS4 at a midnight release XD.

The point? Do what it takes man! I have it easy if they multi-platform it. Where I don't have it easy? Buying it for both systems REGARDLESS. Man, if MGS4 goes to 360, I'm buying it so hard for the [hopefully] larger online community :D

It's Raiden people.

Although I guess it'd be interesting to see a Metal Gear set in the far off future, just to see what kind of crazy ass shit Kojima comes up with. But since it's Raiden, it ain't happening.

It has much more chances of being Sunny than Raiden's kid (and I think his kid looks more like Campbell... uh oh!). Mainly because of the hair style. But why is her hair gray anyway? That's weird. And the cyborg's hair is Raiden-blond.

BTW I have to ask again it the whole Famitsu interview somewhere, even with the XXXXX words? I need to read it all.

Right now, my bets are:

- Two games, one on PSP featuring Big Boss, a prequel. A sort of MPO sequel of sorts.
- One on PS3 (possibly 360 too), not part of the Metal Gear Solid line, but set after MGS4. This one is made by the MGS4 team. It has a similar feel to MGS.
- The cyborg is probably not Raiden or Sunny, but an out right robot/android, built by Sunny or Otacon. The only reason the eye is covered is because it has some sort of special use. The bandanna is Snake's (or in reminiscence of Snake), who might still be alive or not, who knows. The body or suit is made from Raiden's cyborg ninja body/suit, they don't have the resources to build something new from scratch. The game is basically going to be a way for Kojima to directly tie in a rebooted Snatcher story into the MGS world. Lucipher Alpha will probably turn out to be the mutated Foxdie from MGS4.
- It wouldn't be impossible that the Raiden at the end of MGS4 is not Raiden, but a "Snatcher" replacement, while the real Raiden is still a cyborg ninja, for some reason. But I doubt it.

WHY?!?

Please don´t feel bad, at least not because of my comment... (it's been the shittiest day of my life)

still..

i've only played MGS on Sony systems, so it's kinda hard for me to play MGs on another sistem that's not a Sony system. That's why I said that...

too bad, because The Twin Snakes is one of the best in the series, IMO.

I think you're reading way too much into this. Shinkawa is no longer doing art and design for the Metal Gear franchise, which means they no longer have his stunning art to use for promotional purposes.
It's unfortunate he had to leave, but somebody has to do the art for ZOE3.

Whatever it is, I'll buy it if Chinaman's in it.
But wasn't The End the spiritual successor to Chinaman?

I'm okay with them using renders or whatever for all of the next MGS's art, or just having a new artist, but I can't imagine anyone but Shinkawa designing the mechs for ZoE, and his signature hexagonal motif that he used during the PS2 era.

But they already tied Snatcher to MGS with the Mk2, 3, and of what happened between MG1 and 2 to Big Boss, and Dr. Madnar's significance.

AMAZING ARTIST IS GONE

Shinkawa isn't with them!? The fuck, man! I was already pissed enough that MGS4 lacked Shinkawa-esque artwork for promotional purposes [I fucking hated the box-art so bad when I saw that Europe and shit got a drawing and I got a crappy render bullshit]. But no more MGS-related Shinkawa artwork? This is bullshit.. Shinkawa's MGS work is some of my favorite artwork. *sigh* Here's to hoping for something good.

WTF is this shit about Shinkawa not working at Kojima Productions anymore?
He left the series after MGS4. I don't remember when, I don't remember why, but it was fairly publicized during one of the pre-MGS4 celebratory events that he would no longer be working on the Metal Gear franchise.

He never said anything about not working with Kojima Productions again.

BigBoss said:

He definitely still works at KojiPro. This discussion started though because Chemo brought up that Shinkawa said that MGS4 was going to be the last MG that he did art for. I personally think that he'll be doing the art for this game because Kojima's going to be working on this game.

I know what you're talking about, it was the same interview where Kojima said he wouldn't be directing anymore MGS games. We know that turned out to be false so if Shinkawa is still working at KP I don't see why he wouldn't work on the next MGS.
