They aren't my feet, but I was searching for an image of some worn out Cortez '72s. Mine are like those, but a lot more beat up and probably five years older. They're still ridiculously comfortable and they must possess some special properties -- I always sprint faster in these bad boys. Like the PF Flyers from The Sandlot, but better.

Shoes and socks of a grandfather.

And why are you comparing your feet to a cheap sandwich, on the floor no less?

Maybe I shouldn't say this but seeing this collective failure in taste for shoes makes me doubt I belong here. Are you guys serious? I wouldn't be caught dead with these kiddy plastic Xbox generation "shoes".

You want a hint what real shoes look like?

And yes, you tie the laces in the normal way or else you look like a complete idiot.

Those are ugly. They have a classy front end, but quickly fade to corny when they get past the laces

I agree that most shoes here look like they would match nicely with these guys:

Those look just as plastic as the average Nike shoe.. these I like more:

Is there a way to find out some decent british shoe designer brands? I'm looking for vintage 50/60's shoes.. preferrably the slip-on type.

Looks like they got a Photoshop filter effect:p

Craquelure, right? :p I'm not too fond of the texture on these, the ones I'm eyeing in a local shop have are a lot more subtlety. I'm just panicking a bit because it looks like I'm going to spend 300+ euros on a pair of shoes, when I might be able to find the same style somewhere else for much less.. halp gaf!

Italia 74s.

Looks like a big turd in that picture, but under normal lighting conditions they are hot and work well with my usual look.

i also sport a pair of S. Carters

Just for reference, i don't even like Jay-Z but his shoes are mad comfortable and are some of the longest lasting kicks i've ever owned.

Oh! You mean my shoes are extremely endearing and "smell like Phys Ed."

Or they're ugly. Bastard!

I was just explaining to my girlfriend how endearing and cool Sloth is.. she never saw the movie.

So I guess I think your shoes are endearing and cool.

Not mine, but damn I wish I could find some that looked that nice. Mine are in extremely bad condition, but I like them too much to wear any other shoe. I've been wearing them since my sophomore year of high school! :lol

EDIT: Upon further investigation, they still make them! But my beloved brown/tan combo is nowhere to be found. What do you guys think of these colors?

Just for fun, here's a look at the insides of mine:

Well someone had recommended me Allen Edmonds a while ago. The ones I wanted are no longer offered but it has a nice selection. http://www.allenedmonds.com/ The prices are close to 300 (or more) in some cases tho:p

I like these as far as dress shoes goes:

Right now I'm wearing a $60 pair of Lugz boots because winter destroys my boots anyway so it's temporary. I'll get some new Pumas this late spring I guess, along with some casual dress shoes if I go ahead and change my clothing style (or vary it anyway) as planned.

Blasphemy! Any and every girl I date needs to have seen The Goonies at least once. If she hasn't, a date (early in the relationship) is designated as a "Goonies Viewing Evening" in which we watch. This is then followed up with a quiz the proceeding evening to see how much information from the movie is retained. The final question on the quiz is, "Did you like this movie and would you see it again?" No matter her score from the previous questions, if she answers the final question with a "No" response, she is summarily dismissed and never spoken to (or of) again.*

On topic? Nice shoes, y'all.

* The results of the quiz become void if she happens to be good in the sack. I reserve the right to still hold a grudge, though.

Red Wing does not make this style anymore which pisses me off. Also, all of their motorcycle boots are made in China now. :(
Rockport used to make a style like that. They still might make it.... the Hatton I think it's called. I can check for ya.

I work at a shoe store as a manager so it's funny how I recognize most of these on sight.

I really want to get the Timberland Windchill Chukka. Tims run a size high usually though so I needed a 12 and the store I was at had everything but. Ugh.

I just threw my pair out today. The best footwear i've ever had, they were awesome for skating.

éS FTW, worn nothing but them for the past 10 or so years.

I now wear these and a pair of dressy shoes for work.

I have over 25 pairs of Jordans, most of them unworn. If I get time this weekend I'll lay them out and take a picture.

I love shoes... I used to spend all my time/money when I stopped collecting videogames etc...

My #1 favorite shoe/sneaker of all time are Air Jordan XIs, the all white Columbias(M. Jordan wore them at the 1996 All Star Game)... I own 3 different pairs!
