I came in to say this... just got the game and I am floored.. the demo made me worry but I was always going to get the game and I am just shocked at how much better than the demo it is.JustAnotherOtaku said:Spent about 2 hours with the game since getting it earlier and it's much better thaneither the PES or WE demo. Very responsive, the 360 dribbling makes the game flow a lot better and feels more 'lifelike', player animations are greatly improved and they shape up for shots/passes etc a lot more realistically.
Good! GOOD! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!Ryck said:I came in to say this... just got the game and I am floored.. the demo made me worry but I was always going to get the game and I am just shocked at how much better than the demo it is.
I'm not sure if you're joking or not but seriously this game is amazing. I don't even have that initial adjustment period sense of hatred I have had with the last few versions ( everything since Pes 5).Shikashi said:Good! GOOD! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!
Apparently, you did! :lolShikashi said:Oh, like anyone gave a shit about what you had to say about Porto. :lol
I'm serious. I'm fed up with FIFA and the shitty animation system.Ryck said:I'm not sure if you're joking or not but seriously this game is amazing. I don't even have that initial adjustment period sense of hatred I have had with the last few versions ( everything since Pes 5).

Força Porto!!
All 2 or 3 of us!Shikashi said:Oh, shit. FC Porto Defense Force assembled? :lol
Did I ever say that? I don't remember, honestly. I was mostly banging on the game before I tried the demo.Letters said:All 2 or 3 of us!
Eh, and I kinda owe you an apology, I think I posted somewhere about you being crazy for thinking pes was gonna be better than fifa this year. Crow eaten.
Anastacio said:Seriously this game is pretty good when you get used to how it plays. Having an anchor man picking up the ball from the defense, hold up the ball so the rest of the team can run up the field and have a defender build up play by running up the middle. It can be seen on the pitch when you change your tactics and cards.

JustAnotherOtaku said:Heh agreed! I enjoy getting trophies in games but am never too obsessive over getting 100% of them. However, with the amount of hours me and my bro put into Pro Evo games, (close to 300 hours in Pro Evo 09) I'm pretty sure I can platinum this![]()
I have been playing Pro Evolution Soccer for more than a decade, every year now. And in all games I have started on the hardest difficulty but then came PES 2010 and for the first time I witnessed it was hard playing against the CPU, so I changed it to **** star difficulty, now I can play on the hardest again.JustAnotherOtaku said:For those with the full game, what difficulty are you playing on? I always initially start a new Pro Evo on regular, so that I can get used to the changes etc. Played a couple on professional level and found it better but wanted to stick to regular while playing my first Champions League.
Anyway, I'm being Man United. Drew 0-0 with Fiorentina in the first match which was fair, then beat Celtic 3-0, Sparta Prague 6-1 and then again 4-0. Even with accumulated fatigue it seems a little easy, moreso than my early previous Pro Evo experiences anyway.
Not sure now whether to start my ML on regular or professional. Pretty sure I'll stick to regular since the original ML team is always shit (even if it is all the old favourites like Castollo, Minanda etc) but would like to hear what others did.

Gonna play the Champions League mode again to see what all the Madrid logo/marketing stuff in the final is about. =)
Oh, I just reviewed the game today as well, giving it an 8/10.
Moe Joe said:I just want something which I will enjoy. I have played 100 ranked matches of FIFA and when you play that much, you realize how repetitive and how samey the game is. Every game I play is the same. When I win, I have a load of momentum and a 'push' on my side. When I lose, my defenders act retarded and open up for a cheap goal.
And when I concede a cheap goal, and when my opponent continues the rugby and ping pong shit, I get even more bored and just feel like a stunned mullet playing the game, counting down the minutes and questioning why I am even playing it in the first place.
I myself am a manual player and can score from 70% of my shots. But the problem EA realize is, its ok having manual shots and passes, but what about taking off the A.I assists? What about turning off the cheesy momentum and riggery? Some games of FIFA I have played went 4-4. Basically whoever had the ball scored. Riggery. No amount of defending or tactics can save you and all you can do, like all the other chumps out there, mash the pressure buttons and while attacking, do the whole a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a,a, ................ B! GOAL! And yes, defending comes down to this, but its a proven fact that when your opponent ping pongs the A button, your defenders will automatically come out of position. What else can you do? Oh, yeah, hold the two man pressure like a lunatic and charge people down without losing any stamina for 90 minutes. What a boring and horrendous mess.
I'm over it and gotten all my money back from the store today for it.
I really wanted to like FIFA. I kept telling myself I'd like it. But 3 weeks on I just can't. Hopefully the WC version will fix a lot of my gripes. I could surely play the "horrible arcadey PES" until then. (sarcasm)

Just played 3 games online.....
Game 1 = 3v1, ran pretty much perfect. It was 2 on one Xbox plus another guy verses me so technically 3 Xbox's were connected to this game.
Game 2 = 2v2, a bit jerky at times but no worse than FIFA can get.
Game 3 = 1v1, the least smooth of the three games but still very much playable. It's worth nothing the opponent had a red connection (which I intentially wanted to play to experiment) so if this is as bad as it gets I can't complain.
On a related note, I've finished my Spurs and Arsenal kits. 360 editing takes forever but I think the results were well worth it -

PES 2010 is finally out all over Europe, and after speaking to many retailers it seems most of you have the game in your hands. All you need now is an option file. Correct?
Im happy to say weve been busy working away at the PS3-only OF after the no show of the much wanted Konami transfer update. We were banking on it being released for launch, anything else IMO is a step backwards. But instead of crying about it, our OF creator Sean (01srainey) has been working around the clock to correct things we were going to ignore.
Thats the main reason the OF missed todays expected launch, but youll be pleased to know Sean has got LOADS done for launch tomorrow.
* All club teams with correct emblems
* All teams (International and Club) with licensed kits
* All club teams with correct team names
* All fake players in the game with real names (excludes unlockable players)
* Most transfers up-to-date, might be some minor ones missing
* Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg and Stuttgart created
* Bundesliga base created (team names/kits) To give editors a head start once unlockable players are unlocked
All of the above will be included in the option file, released tomorrow at 5pm UK time. Sean will update you throughout the day to let you know how things are going. Well release on a variety of download sites, complete with an easy-to-use guide for all beginners.
Thanks to Sean again for his fantastic work!
JustAnotherOtaku said:Finished my Champions League with Milan and beat Inter in the finalProfessional/4 star difficulty seems to be the way to play this version. Not easy but not too hard.
Also started my Master League and wow, it really has been improved a lot. First off, Division 2 now has 18 teams. You pick 3 leagues where you can swap teams about and then have 2 leagues with the normal teams which runs alongside your ML. So, for example, I'm in Division 2 of the English league. I always change the teams about in each league so there's the Premiership, La Liga and Serie A and then Eredivisie and the French League too.
The cup is now between the teams in Division 2 and the league that you choose to advance into. So a lot harder to win as last year it was just the Div. 2 teams.
A lot more emphasis on the behind the scenes, day to day running of the team now. Scouts etc can be levelled up, you choose sponsors who provide bonuses for home wins and so on. Youth team inclusion is great! You can choose to advance promising players to your first team.
All in all, the ML is always the biggest draw for me with Pro Evo and I'm gonna be spending hundereds of hours in it this year again![]()
