The controller isnt really that ugly and it might even be comfortable, well more comfortable than DS2 atleast... But the symmetric placement of the analog sticks and the absence of triggers is what irritates me a little.

At the moment the problem is it looks HUGE. iirc, it's a little bit smaller than an xbox 360. It looks allright

That's a pretty ugly looking console, but I think the controller looks like it might be really comfortable. I wish they would take a cue from MS though and switch the D-pad with the left analog stick.

PS3 still spanks the xbox 360 design. I dont know of any electronic devices that have freaking inward curves and a basic white plastic exterior with green stylings. Not to mention its the only console using tray loading :lol But i guess GAF has a warped sense of what is considered good design and what is closer to convention.

Looks better than the X360, but worse than the Revolution, IMO. (I'm a sucker for the Rev's minimalist styling.) Besides, if these companies do their jobs right, we ought to be too busy staring at the TV to care what the box in our entertainment rack looks like.

i don't really like the design of the system itself, but i love its functionality, especially all the individual hookups on the back. but system looks wise, it's kinda of meh. the controller looks horrible, but who knows, maybe it will feel good in the hands. if not, i'll just get a Xbox 360 controller adapter and be done with it, no harm, no foul. but ya, that system [looks wise] is pretty bad. :lol
