Still no PS+ deals for this year?
Haven't seen any yet, I'm kicking myself for not stocking up last year.

Didnt that Aaron Greenburg or something say like "Wait for September,October,November,December as they will pick up there" and so far PS4 has outsold xbone for the first 2. Im guessing MS PR will keep moving the goal post for every quarter lol.
That's a hell of a bundle.
Anyone else think it's kind of weird all the PS4 advertising has it standing vertically? I mean, I know you can buy the stand and what not. Just seems kinda odd it seems to be the advertised way to position the console without the component to do it in the box.
They said they are selling 3x more mow right?. Do we have any idea what that means?
I know this is highly unlikely but I really wish Dragon Age: Inquisition and NBA 2k15 will be part of the "any games" list.I was concerned about this initially, but their current bundle has 15 games to choose from. Most of them were some of the bigger games of the year. I wish we could just choose whatever we wanted instead of them limiting us, though.
Console scales the up to 1080p before outputting - monitor isn't scaling anything. They'll look fine.
Agreed. The more we get into November the more I think Sony wins it.The NPD thread is going to be epic, assuming we get any numbers.Realistically, if Sony wins November, I can't picture another scenario in which Microsoft wins another major month.
They will have a slim model and Halo next year, but I don't think that will be enough.

That $399 price is too high. Its going to be on shelves next to $329 X1s.

I think Microsoft can win, they just have to corner the market with the right software, price, and exclusives. The Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Forza 6 are a true trifecta of awesome.

I would not underestimate Halo 5 next year if 343 returns to (Bungie) form. Given they'll have had 3 years for development I think there's a good chance it will be much better than Halo 4. Ditto Gears 4; if these games are quality I think it will provide MS with a huge boost in NA. Beyond that though, I don't think there's anything in their existing catalogue which could help them catch up, besides repeated price drops.
My only issue with Halo or Gears driving install base is wondering how much of the install base has already bought in?
I mean Gears topped out at approx 6 million didn't it? So when Gears 4 hits most of the customer base for it could already have an Xbox. Same for Halo.
I think the issue with the really big franchises is they give a decent sales spike at launch but in fact a lot of the audience is there already - i.e all 10 to 11 million potential install base for Halo isn't waiting for Halo 5, a percentage will have bought already. The question is what percentage?
EDIT: obviously I see the same question with Uncharted, etc. Each big release should give a spike but how much it really lifts the basline demand depends on how much of the audience has already bought ahead of the game release
The interesting thing is that no stores (except Walmart) have actually discounted the PS4 for BF.
Sony is releasing their "Bundles" for $399 but so far with the exception of Walmart offering a $50 discount on the base (non bundled) unit or two additional games with the bundle for $449 I haven't seen any stores actually discount the console from their end.
It appears that the PS4 has been moving well enough on its own that retailers aren't willing to dip into their profits on the PS4's. I guess it makes sense if its the console consistently in demand but still a bit disappointing.
I know this is highly unlikely but I really wish Dragon Age: Inquisition and NBA 2k15 will be part of the "any games" list.
Are people saying that PS4 will win November in the US? Not a troll question, honestly asking, because I think those people are crazy.I dont think the PS4 has a chance of winning november, but this, Halo and AC being busted along with COD being quite divisive will probably kill the extra momemtum the Xbox had over this month.
It will still be selling better for the immediate future but its not going to close the game between the two overall all that much.

XB1 is going to crush the PS4, in the US, in November. I mean, when you slash the price by $50 (or even $70), throw in brand new, wanted games, you're going to win. They'll both sell gangbusters, but come on.
What does crush mean?

I'm actually surprised by the lack of PS4 Black Friday deals. The $399 bundles are available everywhere, including online. There is actually no reason for someone to go into a B&M store for a PS4 this year.
The best deal ( the bundle + 2 games for $450) from walmart is also an on-line only deal.
Normally the Stores have some type of deal to get you in the door but it looks like the deals will be on the games only.
I've only seen the LBP bundle advertised at TRU and Meijer. Do other retailers really not have it? =/
They'll both sell pretty much everything they stock shelves with on Black Friday. The winner is whoever produces the most stock. Are people saying that PS4 will win November in the US? Not a troll question, honestly asking, because I think those people are crazy.

Um, if you were offered a Zune for $50 with 10 free songs and one free movie, would you take that over a $150 Ipod? Some people would for sure, but most would still want the Ipod.

That's a good point and the sales of TLOU are evidence for this. TBH with current trends the Xbox is more likely to suffer from a preset install base than PS4. Not what Xbox fans want to hear but very likely true.I'm thinking Uncharted may not follow that same logic due in large part to the cross over we're seeing from 360 to PS4, a phenomenon I'm not conviced has run its course yet. I feel like there are far more 360 gamers that remained behind compared to PS3 gamers. They haven't bought into the new gen yet and aren't yet convinced either way. I feel like they'll be far better served on the PS4 due to a combination of the shroud of negativity surrounding MS, the lack of exclusives in the first part of the year to compete with the Order and Bloodborne, and a combination of the distaste or apathy towards both the Gears and Halo series alongside the sexy shine of Uncharted - a series they didn't consume quite the same way.
I think it'll be at least 1.5:1. I would guess 2:1, but 1.5:1 is a pretty safe bet. Halo, COD, a price drop, it's just all a great deal and very enticing.
So something like this?
XB1 - 1,000,000
PS4 - 666,666
Um, if you were offered a Zune for $50 with 10 free songs and one free movie, would you take that over a $150 Ipod? Some people would for sure, but most would still want the Ipod.
I'd love to be wrong, just as I'd love to be right. No matter what happens, it's going to be a shitshow. If PS4 wins, Microsoft just blew a bunch of money and threw away a ton of profit with little to show. If the XB1 wins, the forums might explode with fanboy wars.
It's gonna be good no matter what.
