Why aren't they releasing numbers?

Why aren't they releasing numbers?
I don't think anyone's celebrating that in and of itself, so much as they are pleased it did well, and are willing to acknowledge it as a sign of how badly Nintendo is handling the Wii U. It reflects on Nintendo, not Mario.
I think by "they" he means Chart-Track since they have in the past, e.g. with the Xbox One launch?probably want to tally all the european numbers up to make a big round million or million and a half figure ..

Playstation home consoles, when they had a good start, always went onto absolutely thrash the competition.
Like I said good start is a good start. That's what I have been saying all along.
Great news for the industry, competition between Sony and Microsoft will only lead to better things.
I'm loving my Xbox One, and hope others are enjoying their PS4.
*group hug*
Nintendo had their chance and blew it, neither Microsoft or Sony see them as a threat.
It´s interesting how you were trumpeting the fact that the console market is dead, yet records are being broken in the first day/week of sales.
not dead but in decline imo. early adopter enthusiasm does not prove anything
PS4 exclusive Knack debuts at 13 ahead of Super Mario 3D World on Wii U at 14. Yes, Knack sold more than Mario.
Interesting. So you are ok to buy a lesser game more, you don't feel outraged to buy full price a so so game vs a GOTY contender, as long as it runs on more powerful hardware. It's hard to follow you on this.
Why do you keep shifting your argument from Japan to UK? Try and keep a focus. You stated PSP was only a Japan-Monster Hunter driven platform, when the numbers don't support that at all.
What exactly are you arguing? Because PSP shifted downwards eventually, PS4 will? What is your basis for that?
And I guess your saying ps4/xbone will never have game droughts?, Ok Nostradamus
After ps4 and xbone bomb wii u style . i hope a VR console comes along to reinvigorate the. market in the same way wii did.
Will be amusing to see all the people who buy a xbone or ps4 oblivious that it wont play their existing games . may even cause mass returns ?
Need to know the prices of the PS4 and new Xbox before I make a prediction.
If PS4 is over US$499 and the main exclusives are really just Killzone, Knack and Drive Club, I don't expect it to do very well at all. Less than WiiU in the first month (like ps3 and 360).
if multiplatform launch games like codblops2 , tekken, batman etc didnt count for wiiu then they shouldnt count for ps4/xbone
What I find interesting is the widespread assumption that the Xbone and PS4 will continue the legacy of previous gen consoles and thrive where WiiU failed to do so.
Do people expect the ps4 and xbone to beat the WiiU's (and 360/ps3) launch month numbers?
How long until xbone/ps4 sail pass the doomed WiiU?, 3 months?, 6 months?
I read somewhere that they can produce 1 million a month.
Do we know how many WiiUs have been sold in the UK so far?
No numbers but we do have the chart

Fantastic news. Seeing an excellent machine do so very well is heartening in a territory that was seemingly in such a decline as the UK in recent times. Guess next gen was just the boost the market probably needed over here. Long may it continue. The salty tears of Nintendo fans in this thread serve only as seasoning for the feast
Plus, it's going to be fun to be able to accurately state "Knack is more popular then Mario 3D World" in response to the aggressive Knack trolling Nintendo fans have been doing all year if nothing else
I refuse to believe that.
They haven't brought a flagship Pokemon to home consoles.
Last gen consoles LTD is about 250mln (if we count only home consoles) with few games reaching 20mln sales.
Console gaming is stronger than ever same as PC.
Leave him alone, poor guy have been calling doom on next gen consoles for months now:

Actually you're jut trying to make an arbitrary comparison to detract from the success Sony is having, as you said yourself : "why ? because I'm not supporting the sony jerk circle by daring to compare the psp to the ps4 ?"ffs how many times do i have to repeat myself. all in saying is launch means little in the scheme of things as evidenced by the PSP's record UK launch leading to it selling only 3.2 million ltd.
So? You're talking about the past.
Well I'll be.Leave him alone, poor guy have been calling doom on next gen consoles for months now:

People should quit acting like the console wars are over.

uhh I'm referring to console decline from last gen to this new gen. Do you think ps4/xbone /wiiu total will outsell ps3/360/wii ?
Maybe, just maybe, my fellow UK residents have grown sick and tired of Nintendo releasing Mario games/sequels/spin-offs/sequels-to-spin-offs at such an alarmingly frequent rate and have demonstrated their disinterest as such. Maybe Nintendo should stop relying on their mascot so much, and instead of phoning it in by releasing brand-diluting instalments like Mario Party: Island Party and yet another Mario Golf, they should spend that time and those resources on something new and exciting instead.
Congrats to Sony for proving that the console market is still very much alive and kicking.

1m per month in China, 16m per year with Japan as well, so about 1.3m per month at the moment. During the ramp up it will have been much lower though, which is why there wasn't enough stock to feed both the US and Europe.
By my estimate they should only have just reached peak production rates, consoles leaving the production line at the beginning of November will arrive in Europe in about a week and in the US around 10 days from now. That shipment will last through to the new year, after that the situation will get better as regular shipments begin.

this paints an even bleaker picture.
Even lego marvel outsold 3D world?
ouch.
This means that the current-gen trio (which until recently referred to as next-gen) already enjoys an install base of around 600k units in the UK. Both PS4 and Xbox have already comfortably outsold Nintendos Wii U, which was released in the UK over a year ago.
