PS4 playable at New York Comic Con? (Impressions)

...ok, this person claimed he played several PS4 games at NYCC, but there is no confirmation that the PS4 was even there. Even the press knew nothing about it. I'm sorry, but I just don't find this very credible. A person just approached him, and he told him he pre ordered a PS4, then all of a sudden he's granted access to a "super top secret" PS4 lair? I smell BS.

Anyway, I knew there was a reason I canceled my Watch Dogs pre-order. Ubisoft took too long to release it and my hype deflated. I'll pocket this $55 and wait for it to drop to $20 or so before I buy a copy and see how it is.
 
I can't take those opinions seriously due to the cynical approach on many points, I'll reserve judgement for myself
 
Lol @ some people in this thread taking this guy's bullshit comments about a game he couldn't have possibly played as confirmation that the game is shitty and that you were right all along when you called the game shitty "a year ago."

I thought watchdogs looked pretty decent. They showed new gameplay at CC, didn't see any booth where you could actually play it. Its seems like GTA mixed in with some Ass Creed, and you can control red lights, bridges, cameras around you.

Has some potential.
 
Wtf is that thread, I've seen better impressions and hands on report (mine included) in the Montreal comic con thread lmao

I completely agree. I could not finish this, as it was so poorly written.
 
The only specifically next gen thing I saw on the show floor was people playing Killer Instinct on the couch in the Twitch booth.

I think you can use some cameras to spy on people too, so yeah ... that's the most original thing I've seen from the game so far. It doesn't look like a strong IP. I'll eat crow if I'm wrong. I'm sure it'll sell decently since its one of the few available launch games.

You're probably going to eat crow, but I'm not saying this because I'm defending Watch Dogs. Rather, Ubisoft had a lackluster game in Asscreed 1, but they stuck to the IP and iterated gameplay into kingdom come and now they have some solid games under the Asscreed umbrella and a pretty successful franchise. Most likely, Ubisoft is developing Watch Dogs to do the same thing they did with Asscreed for next gen.
 
Came here for first hand analysis and intriguing follow up questions......... received... well I'm not fucking sure what I received in this thread.....
 
Got a little upset when I saw this thread, thinking I somehow missed next gen consoles at NYCC. Then I started reading and it turned into lulz.

The XBONE was on display at The Next Level's booth, but not playable. It actually looked worse in person than I imagined, and I had low expectations to begin with. Could have been a dummy console, but build quality looked cheap and there was no craftsmanship displayed in its design IMO. Below it, was a picture of the PS4's box so it was completely not present. They were on display because The Next Level was doing some sort of giveaway.
 
I was at NYCC. There were no PS4s anywhere on the show floor, and Sony was not there in any capacity so I'm 99% sure that secret booth business is all bullshit.

This thread is beautiful though, I can't stop laughing at these fucking emoticons
