Hardly a big deal.
It is for me. That looks just a little too bland for my tastes.

Doesn't come across as nicely as Xbone's.
Old FW.
Well you will be waiting for a while. No wallpaper support at launch.
Don't think that's retail... Or at least, there's nothing new here.
There's a Library icon in the BF4 startup video, hopefully it uses the screen space more efficiently than the default row of large tiles in the home screen.Didn't look all that impressive to me, but I'm guessing this isn't final. If there's many games installed it will hopefully have some kind of filer or sort options.
They are. You press triangle on a game, info, and put the folder name on "album name" or something similar. It definitely has preset folders if you press square on the games bit (PS3, PS1, etc.). I'm not sure if it has fully custom folders, though.
Any new changes you can share with us?
So many hopes and dreams rest on that one icon, lol. I'm imagining it's like the Steam library where it shows everything you own, whether or not it'd downloaded. There's a Library icon in the BF4 startup video, hopefully it uses the screen space more efficiently than the default row of large tiles in the home screen.

there are 8 windows too.
FWIW, I think they do that with the current batch of Bravias:So many hopes and dreams rest on that one icon, lol. I'm imagining it's like the Steam library where it shows everything you own, whether or not it'd downloaded.
FW1.5 is fairy light, but I like its simplicity. It's also very fast to use, leaving and re-entering the current game very fluidly (and instantly).
From what I've seen it looks like on the Xbox One you can access the entire dashboard and UI with the game playing in the background (not saying you can but on a video it looked like that to me). Is there anything showing the PS4 can do something similar to that?

So that was similar to the final version of the UI ? What about pictures like the one below, is it deeper in the OS functions, or have things changed ?
I can't believe we are this close to launch and we still haven't seen a true walk through of each next gen console OS.
There's the E3 trailer and a couple of real life videos of people popping in and out of the dash while the console is offline. From what I've seen it looks like on the Xbox One you can access the entire dashboard and UI with the game playing in the background (not saying you can but on a video it looked like that to me). Pester IGN. Apparently, it's them who needs to get on it. I'm kind of giving up honestly, we'll find out once in launches in a couple of weeks.Another shit UI hands-on.
Stupid that we still haven't had an official one
Because there's no reason not to, I'm a smartass and there's a clever way to put it somewhere else that's not my main post, because I want to, and because you noticed. Why do you always title your posts?
That is when you select one of the games. You can press X or down and it will drop to the lower level of the Dynamic Menu. It will then display the game info, show a background, play game music, show trophies, info, trailers etc. From there are options to Start the game.
You mean for like that one whole second?Slightly concerning I saw the spinning circles of tedium when it was loading things from the HDD.
Interesting...
So I take it when you see friends logged in it doesn't necessarily state whether they're online via PS3 or PS4?
I can't remember if Vita makes that distinction either (at least, I never see my friends logged on under "Vita").
