Because 365 days, 24 hours a day and minor hiccups here or there, that may equal a week or 2...Isn't cause for concern if u actually have a life

That's not true, for years you got a great online experience with Xbox Live and that's still the core of why they charge. The free games are extras.
That might not be something you want to pay for but for plenty of people it was worth it.
Yeah, destiny servers just gone down (WTH?) and this is what I'm seeing when I try to play anything else.

People do have lives, when there not working or putting the kids to bed and they wanna chill for a couple of hours and they try and go online and it's down and you pay for this.

It kinda is a concern when it is becoming a weekly thing.
When it is occurring almost every time a major online game/download is occurring.
When you are paying for improved service supposedly.
Some people have limited time to play games and not having access to stuff you paid for can be pretty annoying especially since there is supposedly no DRM.
I just signed on and it worked.
I can't comment on MS & Xbox as I don't own one. However I do own Steam and it's simple to see the concurrent users on this free service and I'd bet there is more concurrent user's on-line on Valve's platform than Sony's.

In fact if you've been on for some time you'll be virtually unaffected by this as you're already logged in. It's those who have just done their shit after a day and want to play in the evening/night that are getting the roughest ride.
Don't switch profiles either, I just made that mistake and now I cannot access games on the account that's been logged in for some time even though it wasn't logged out as such. Nightmare. Got friends list however, nada on my partner's account.

That's what I get for going 100% digital I guess.
That sorta happened to me this morning. Once it shortened the list I could play anything that had an icon but if I went in to my library it wouldn't let me play them.
Sony should stand up for this, say that they are investing to resolve this recurring situation and add a free extra month for every current PS+ subscriber. Not because I need an extra month of PS+, but because it's the right way to handle this situation. Show a good gesture to your loyal customers for this inconvenience.
Guys it's okay Stealthcobra has found the solution to PSN. Get a life, if you do that everything will be just fine. PSN won't be an issue

Ugh I've said this before but the amount the network is down, they need to fix the stupid "Primary/Secondary" nonsense and just go back to the PS3 way - TWO consoles that have FULL access.

Was just about to comment on that. My games aren't PS+ free games. They are however PS+ discounts. Am I missing something? Why am I being locked if not connected to the server?
You should not be if that PS4 is your primary console.
It's still some low end employee's who are basically like a customer service. I agree some companies should act faster but they don't really care. I have had problems in the past with a few other company customer service twitter accounts. They are all slow as hell to know what is going on.

Did you set your PS4 as a your primary PS4 console on your settings? If you didn't, every time PSN is down you will lose access to your DD games. One you set your console as the primary PS4 it will never try to connect to PSN and you will be able to use your DD games even if PSN is down.
