Psychonauts is $2 on Steam. BUY IT NOW.

A word to the newbies: always stop and look around camp between levels. Every time you beat a level, all of the kids around camp change locations and say new things. There's a lot of weird little subplots going on in the background of Psychonauts and they really help define the charm of the game and its characters.

Maaaan this is making me want to play it again.

Ive already got Zack and Wiki when everybody was like "You GOT TO BUY Zack and Wiki" and i hated the game.

But ill admit that for 2 bucks its really does seems like a great deal.

Has anyone got it to run fine with the 360 Controller? I mean, the Left and Right Trigger?
Or anyone has a link to the default Xbox Controls by any chance?

I just bought it, but having that issue :(

Grabbed this one up even though I have it for PS2. :D Can anyone help me get my xbox 360 pad working though. Most functions are working properly in game, but the right stick isn't controlling the camera and the two triggers are actually making the camera rotate left and right.

Even if you hate it, $2 cheaper than what you'd probably spend on lunch.

Just bumping to say that I've been playing the game for two hours and I absolutely love it! I think the keyboard+mouse controls work just fine with it and the dialogue is great.

When I played the demo it seemed functional, but very impractical, especially on a 3D platformer. Are you sure it works well? Because I don't have a USB plug for my 360 controller.

Well, in my books the controls are just fine. Took me about ten minutes to get used to them. The game is definitely enjoyable with kb+mouse.

For what it's worth I loved Psychonauts but hated Zack & Wiki.

Aww man, I've missed this game so much. I've just reached Lungfishopolis after spending some time hunting collectables and this has to be my favourite stage.

"Earlier tonight, Goggalor broke out several of his jailhouse cronies out of the slammer so they can enhoy a night popping pills and soliciting inexpensive call girls."

That was you? :lol

Yeah! :lol

My wife told me no more Steam games "for a very long time, mkay?" and forgave me. I didn't! Javaman got me Aliens vs. Predator and I was thinking that Psychonauts being $2 was a perfect time to pay it forward. So yeah, she shouldn't be too upset for the loss of $8 from our account (I had to buy one for myself of course :D ) considering we just got our income tax and kids = $$$.

Or a rental.

Had this on 360. Just bought on steam. HAs aged well and looks fantastic in 1080p. Buttery smooth.

Set up with wingman controller. Works great. Loving it.

Have it for PS2 but the really long loadings killed me, hopefully it runs better on my PC (even if it doesn't I'll just save it for the next time I upgrade).

Last day for anyone in the fence.

I finally got GlovePIE set up and played the game with the Wii classic controller. It works great, I'd definitely recommend it if you're using keyboard+mouse controls for the game.

Just got this the other day after hearing so many good things about it. Being able to use a 360 controller also sold me on it also. Probably won't be playing it anytime soon since I have such a long backlog of games to play.

Picked this up wednesday, a few hours in today. I feel so LTTP on this one, but its really amazing. The humor is good but not to the point of being stupid and obnoxious, the platforming is pretty good, and the levels are really inventive. What a great concept for a game. Double Fine, thank you.

Well, the deal's over now so it's too late for anyone who's missed it.

I completely agree, I'm really impressed with the game. The level design is really fantastic (especially when you start going into the heads of the crazier characters) and the writing and storytelling is great. It's one of the few genuinely funny games out there. I've always been interested in picking the game up and I'm glad I finally got around to it. The $2 price tag just makes the whole situation even sweeter.

Bought the game last week and it runs pretty well on moderate settings on my cheap Compaq laptop with Radeon 3200 graphics.

WHAT?????? i just bought it two days agor for 10€......and the game doesnt run too well.....gotta love the issues old games have with my hd5870.......

Crap, crap, and some more crap. I was going to buy a crapload of copies and gift them to all my friends. Maybe that way they would play it.
