Quantic Dream: "Some great news coming in January!"

Just out of curiosity, can someone tell me how that link relates to Quantic Dream or Indigo Prophecy?

I did a few posts above you guys. First, a picture of the boxart with a very similar (if not exact) style of writing scrawl on top of having several of the same words (Guilt, Prophecy). Also, the words written on the website pretty much directly correlate to what happens to the protagonist of Indigo Prophecy -
"Losing my mind/murder/prophecy" = him getting possessed and killing that guy at the beginning in a ritual sacrifice to bring about the prophecy, he was wracked with guilt about it, he was running from the police for being wanted on a murder charge, and it all took place during the winter. Also, feelings. Because Quantic Dream.
On top of that, they said there would be special news this month. This correlates with the timing.

Edit:

It has to be a remaster of Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit. Here's the original boxart:

That website has the same kind of scrawl to it in the wording, and some of the exact same wording.

Also, Amirox nailed the other hint:

Tagline of Indigo Prophecy: "Guilt is a chilling feeling" Link

Even though Fahrenheit went completely off the rails about midway through the game, I still enjoyed it a lot. Would welcome a sequel.

I played first few hours of Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy. Dunno what to think if they are remaking it, could be good, but I don't think there is much demand for such product.

Good catch, but what made you connect this with QD?!

The website is registered in Paris, via Gandi, it seems. Isn't the developer french?

Yes, Quantic Dream are based in Paris.

"Guilt is a Chilling Feeling" is one of the original taglines for the game. Also, the game's box art.

Nice find. I suspect it will be a mobile port like someone else mentioned, as QD's page on Fahrenheit links to Atari's website which leads me to assume that Atari hold the IP (on mobile right now and cannot clarify however), so I doubt it would be getting the full HD remake treatment because Atari are cheap and shit and awful nowadays.

I skipped Beyond on PS3 along with GTAV because I thought this might happen. I'll be looking forward to it.

Edit: disregard if it turns out to be anything else.

Please don't be Beyond: Two Souls on the PS4 Please don't be Beyond: Two Souls on the PS4 Please don't be Beyond: Two Souls on the PS4

QTE remastered edition. I never played QD games on ps3 and I will be interested to buy a collection from them. Especially Heavy Rain, tearing sometimes was too much.

They waited 3 years for the perfect first post.

Not sure it's that perfect when it seems obvious he/she posted the link on behalf of someone to hype this news... Why didn't the developers simply publish an announcement of an announcement themselves if they can't bother more than this?

I'm as interested as everyone else, it's a great game. But this way of bringing the news to our attention feels a bit lame.

An Indigo Prophecy remaster could be possible because a year ago a mod project to remaster the game was suddenly interrupted. The author regularly posted updates about the progress but he stopped without saying anything and he was pretty passionate. Maybe QD contacted him to stop the project so they could sell the remaster?

Believe!

I been following this for the past 2 years and wondered the same thing. I'd be crazy if they can pull it off.

I would go coocoo for cocoa puffs if they release a remaster of IP, HR and Beyond. Some of my favorite games ever, bad stories and all.

Just wanna know what their next game is to be honest. Beyond was 2013, so it makes sense their new game will be announced this year, for next.

Huh, this is quite interesting. I quite enjoyed Indigo Prophecy and with some tuning, like scaling back some of the goofier plot points and changing the later Simon-esque QTE sequences, they could have a very compelling game here. It could very easily share Heavy Rain's success with a bit of work.

If this does end up just being an HD remake, I'd still pick it up.

QD holds the IP. Their website wasnt updated in years in that regard.

Great news would be:"David Cage no longer writing the story, but someone who knows what he is doing"
Well, thats partly happening actually. He has assistance of 2 writers on their next game.

"Some bad news for storytelling in gaming coming January!"
Cage's gonna try to tell a story about racism this time, I know he is
It's gonna be set in the 60s with a black protagonist and it's gonna be super intriguing right up until the scene where it turns out MLK never died, is actually a computer from the 2100s, and all black people are living in a virtual reality. And then they'll all sing a traditional african folk song to escape.

Don't give them any ideas.

I enjoy QD's games but they do often feature plotholes to no end and some bizzare leaps of logic.

I wonder if Indigo will be PC only? I'd love to play this again but it really depends how much of a remaster it is.

I've still got Heavy Rain on PS3, I think I may pick it up and play again soon.

It's certainly looking that way, which is very surprising honestly.

Wonder if their upcoming new title could be PS4/PC at this rate.

Haven't played either Heavy Rain or Beyond, so I'm looking forward to Remaster if it comes. The technical flaws of Heavy Rain and the framerate drops were pretty bad if I remember correctly.

It had very few technical problems at the start of the game, but overall it was really great. Beyond was faultless though [and IMO often pushed PS3 to real next-gen territory, more than PS3 TLOU did].

It is not that much surprising. Farenheit was made before QD started dealing with Sony. IP is fully theirs and they can do what they want with it. Buy with Sony-backed games, those will be 100% exclusives, don't expect them to land on PC. Maybe via PSNow if that service arrives at PC.

I think it is still surprising. Yes it is their IP, but they seem to have a good relationship with Sony, and the PS4 should be able to receive a PC port relatively trivially, so it should almost be a no-brainer to bring it along for the ride. Especially if Sony are bringing Beyond to PS4 - QD will already be up to speed on PS4 (unless it is being farmed out)

Never played any game made by them. And honestly, I'm interested in Until Dawn much more then I was for Beyond Two Souls and Heavy Rain.

I'm not really excited for any announcement of theirs, but I'll keep an eye since its a PS4 exclusive.

I don't think Sony wants QD to do an uprezzed port, the game would need a full remaster treatment to show up on PS4.
