Updates/Patchs

I think for every patch devs have to put up all patches together or something making them really big, and Sony said they will add the option to only patch whats needed.

Something like that.
 
In no particular order, but all of these!

1. Online/offline notifications
2. PS1/PS2 native BC
3. Hold PS button to go to notification eg. trophies, messages etc
4. PlayStation Home
5. Folders or UI adjustment
 
Once FW1.7 is out the way my most desired features are as follows.

1. PS1/PS2 compatibility.
2. Suspend/resume games.
3. Uploading pics/vids to PSN without the need of twit/fb.
4. Folder for games on the UI.
5. Pause downloads.
6. MP3/MP4 support.
7. Customizing Dynamic menu with colors, themes and wallpapers.
8. Friend list notifications.

I don't want to have to buy a new arcade stick. Sony needs to fix that bullshit, there was absolutely no reason to break compatibility.
 
Ps1/ps2/psp backwards compatibility.
This is definitely a software thing. I imagine it's something they would include in a firmware update too.

After that. I want ps1 ps2 and psp game with trophy support. Which isn't firmware.

More than 8 people in a party. Kill Vita support for parties if needed to achieve this.

This is the only thing I need for my BF4 the video game player.
 
Suspend/ Resume and DLNA support for sure. While there are still many things to improve on within it as seen in this topic, I'm overall pretty satisfied so far with the ps4 UI with how quick and easy to use it is at times.
 
I really want something along the lines of Upload for X1.

Somewhere where I can browse videos and screens shared by friends or strangers . Upload does this very well.
 
1. Set my controller profile as the default so when I turn it on I don't have to select one.

2. Turn off certain notifications, like my controller powering down.

3. Streamline the controller option menu. Way too much hassle to power it down when holding down the PS button.

4. Have the Blu-Ray disc icon display the disc's title/art like on PS3.

No big complaints. Just streamline a bunch of stuff. Get it up to par with PS3's features.

The lack of people mentioning the numerous sound problems with the system makes me despair. Looks like they're here to stay ;(

2. NTFS and exFAT support for USB storage devices (Sony's own cameras use exFAT nowadays; I want to be able to directly display my own photos and videos on PS4 using a card reader)

Ability to change background of the OS to an image you specify or even alternate dynamic backgrounds.

DLNA *and* local media playback app.

Highly enhanced library management. (Would solve both the local library organizational needs AND the downloads list problem- ala the Steam games list model.)

2. Force RGB option for DVD/Bluray playback
3. Whatever changes need to be made so the PS4 detects my 3D tv through my receiver (PS3 has no issues with this)
4. 3D Bluray
 
My 5:

1) 3D Blue Ray Support - PS3 has it so should the PS4...
2) DLNA support - Same as above
3) YouTube uploads - Be good to share to YouTube rather than only Facebook.
4) Folders/ Customizing the UI - Showing what you want rather than latest updated/ played.
5) PS1 + PS2 PSN games - Though can see this coming with PlayStation Now

The cronusmax works well for ps3/xbox 360 arcade stick on the newer console and newer console controller works well with the last gen console as well. No input lag as far as I know.

Either release an official PS4 remote controller or logitech harmony support. There are 2 remote so far and they look bare-bone.

Well, it's good to know that such a thing exists, but really, there is still no excuse for my PS3 stick to not just work out of the box, without some $50 3rd party dongle. Both the PS3 sticks and the DualShock 4 are USB HID class devices, that react the same when plugged over USB. The PS4 OS is clearly deliberately not allowing controllers that aren't DS4, which would otherwise work because they send the same HID commands.
