Mario tries to do something fresh with every installment, while retaining the core gameplay properties. Same with Zelda. That's why they get so highly rated game after game. They have some of the best video game minds in the world making those games, and they are, usually, top of it's class when they are released, as well as timeless.
You can deconstruct any game you wish with your approach. Every single game is some form of movement and a very limited set of actions you can take. Most games involve running/walking, jumping, shooting, attacking, or talking. Maybe some menu driven options/interactions. And that's about it. Every game is fit for a five year old when framed in that manner.
So, nice try. This game looks fantastic and it's going to be well liked. Maybe even loved.
P.S. Sequels are USUALLY meant to deliver more of the same with a familiar formula/setting/set of characters.
Ratchet was made by a different team than Spiderman and it last about 10 hours. Easy to put out games that last a quarter of your competition, no?
What's DeS? Demons Souls? If that's the case there's nothing to explain there. It's a copy paste with better graphics, it probably took them less than a year to make it, more like half a year.
Returnal is an indie game, of course it wouldn't take them much time to do it. That's why there's no story nor long cutscenes, there's not a lot of production going for that game.

Yes a stable 30 and even with minor dipe is FAR from unplayable but 60 is better, i don't know about 120 since my TV doesn't support it and i don't feel the need for it honestly since i think 60 is the sweet spot for gaming.
