I have a Switch 2 and PS5 Pro. I have no interest in getting a PS6.

I'm still playing my old games as well on my other consoles. I really don't need a PS6 if the PS6 gen is going to be like PS5.

from canada: likely anything under $800. but! only after at least 3 really interesting-looking, non-backward compatible exclusives are available. which could easily be 4 plus years in...

$1000 w/ a new Miyazaki souls SP game or something compelling on that level.

$0 for Concord, Fairgame$, Marathon, Horizon, etc.
BR€AK ¥N

Miyazaki likely won't do another Sony exclusive, he loves multiplatform too much now.

What about Intergalactic or Goddess of War?

Personally, I am more than ok with streaming. My Series S was only $25, after counting the savings from Gamepass conversion. So I would like a cheap streaming console or Canis TV box from Sony.

God of War Remakes and X-Men were the only games that could force me to buy hardware. But I am intrigued by Goddess of War/Kitchen if the premise that it's more like DMC5 turns out to be true. Like a Heavenly Sword style.

I paid $700 for PS5 Pro so I guess I'd pay that again, but not for just a spec bump. Need to get their first party in order and make PlayStation a special place to play again

How abt pay up to 10 thousand-25 thousand , Where's the poll option for enthusiasts to say the same.

Whatever it costs. It's a one off purchase (maybe 2 if it breaks) every 4 years. If you're on gaf, you prob use it daily…for many (unless you're American) you probably use it more than your car…and use it a similar amount as a sofa. My sofa was £5k and I'll keep it for a decade…which is far more than the yearly cost of a ps6. It's really not all that expensive.
So what's the maximum you'll pay, like 25k pounds?

Assuming next gen goes the way this gen went, my plan is just to wait for the pro version. I honestly regretted getting my launch PS5 because of the all the cross gen stuff.
Surely that won't backfire and end up being a $1200 console, right?

Money is not a problem for me thank god, but I cant justify another SONY console purchase if I dont see them going definitely away from gaas as a priority and wokeness... Sony's first party this gen has been abysmal and it became a third party console for me, so I'll ride my Ps5pro as long as I can since I dont give two fucks about RT/Path tracing and when I feel the need to upgrade well, I'll go with the better machine avaible for me between Helix and Ps6 because Im definitely not buying pro consoles anymore.

If by then Ps6 has great exclusives, wokeness is done and the SP games are back to being awsome, well my decision will be easy.

I'd pay up to $1400 Australian (currently equivalent to $900USD). But I may wait until the PS6 Pro because I love my PS5 Pro.

I think the PS5 may be my last PlayStation. As rare as it is that I buy games for it and with cross gen being a thing, it's hard to imagine me upgrading.

Why would anyone even want one period? It's never going to have any exclusives due to the existence of the (sub) PS5-Par portable and its inevitably high price/component shortages. It's literally going to be a PS5 Pro V2 with "Console Settings" Path Tracing.

$700, but only for pro.
I will skip diet ps6, and wait for the real ps6 to come out.

Must have bloodborne or skip.

Cross gen will last until the PS7, so I'll probably skip and play in glorious 1080p30 upscaled without path tracing and with cinematic SSR artifacts in my water rendering.

Ready to pay 1200 for that PS7, though.

600 top or i will just wait until price drop, even in the end of PS5 circle still alot of cross gen game between PS4 and PS5 anw, i bet thing will be the same for PS6, idc about any of their reason to increase the price, it's their job to make it afforable, they gained shitton from my PS+ sub, my game purchase and DLC for nearly nearly 30 years already

Heavily depends on the games. I want to believe I'll hang on to my Pro for quite a while.
If we'll still get bald chicks in space, butch lesbians and cucked male protagonists, then its an easy skip/wait for me.

Thing is even at the time people were calling that a premium or 'enthusiast' price, and it wasn't that long ago.

Yes AI causing all this inflation is terrible but Sony's hubris might cause them to ignore the demand curve that they should be looking at, which is the consumer. The average normie already thought the PS5/Series X was verging on too expensive, which is why they stuck for so long on previous gen hardware.

Nearly all the prices listed in the poll are what I'd define as jumping the shark. Even $600 is a hard sell to the casuals.

I'm in the same boat.

My PS5 just died and I can't be arsed to buy another one.

Honestly, I might just leave consoles behind and go PC. Yes, I know it's more expensive than a console, but it's more future proof and there is a far better selection of games on PC than consoles. I might even pick up the next Xbox if it has support for Steam and GOG.

The PS6 will have to be priced right, the issue is what is the right price as this will vary from person to person. Personally I feel $600- $700 is the sweet spot for the console. The first thing Sony need to consider is not wasting time and effort and money on a Pro version, which will always only be niche.

I'd say at most a 1000 but they would have to have some good marketing to get me to buy it at that price. The 600 price option is odd since that is like the current gen price for the digital version. I'm curious if the move to next gen right now is so that they can move faster away from the ps5 due to all of the price increases and have the reason to pay a lot more money be because of new hardware instead.
