Well, to be fair, I haven't finished it. I ran out of stream at something like 38 episodes in, it just wasn't doing it for me, even in the 2nd half.
I'm sure I'll finish it off one day.
I'd watch Escaflowne if you haven't yet, and perhaps Turn A GundamJarmel said:Raphxenon, Full Metal Panic, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I would go with Full Metal Panic first.
Since this is a recommendation thread, might as well ask. What would people recommend as a show similar to Eureka Seven? In regards to scope, character development, production values, and romance.

OP has already seen Gurren Lagann, the magnum opus of Giant Robot Anime. I would agree that Giant Robo would be a good thing to watch next. Also I really should check out this GaoGaiGar show.
I have that box too. Shame I only own volumes two, three, and four though. :\NintendoGal said:As many others are echoing, RahXephon!
Watched the series more than any Gundam series I own strangely.

Yes that is annoying. It gets toned down later.Nemesis121 said:GAOGAIGAR are they trying give people seizure? with the blinking screens at the bad guy's base, only 5 eps in and I hate that shit...
If you're going to watch it for the first time... you have to remember it's the precursor to a lot of the modern anime themes, but it does it so much better than them even to this day.InsertNameHere said:I still think everyone in this thread who hasn't seen Gunbuster needs to. I mean, it's only 6 episodes. And it's a classic.

The art and the music are amazing and the English dub was quality too.
Seriously though, the art is amazing.

I've seen pretty much all g gundam and up except Wing (characters just seem...meh). Code Geass. Nadesico (loved that one!). Gurren Lagann. Basquash (should count). Macross Frontier and the first macross film (haven't watched show yet). Evangelion and films.
Currently watching Eureka 7.
Real vs super doesn't matter to me. Only pref I have is that main character must mature to a badass SOMETIME during the show.
