TransEra has taken the site hostage and everyone is just sitting back and eating popcorn because it's like an episode of the looney tunes. Literally would be a fascinating psychological study, all these people who are in control. Forcing members of the site to think a certain way or get banned. I really don't get how anyone loves the feeling of being oppressed or forced to think a certain way. It blows my mind, and if TransEra gets any jurisdiction as a site admin or mod, the site will be done. The bans will be over you liking a new game that was by CDPR or the new harry potter game. Fuck a place like that, I guess having power is a powerful drug.

Black Chamber is on GAF, was perm banned from Era even though he offered just 1 month. Era is banning any trumpers basically, TransEra has the site pretty much hostage right now. Tons of bans and meltdowns over BC tricking them, but hilarious to read.

Basically shit has been simmering for a while because BlackChamber has been posting very popular threads about CyberPunk, a game that a small portion of Era thinks is transphobic due to a few issues that are pretty minor at best, BC has been on their radar because he's not kowtowed to their demands that he force people to respond to people calling CDPR hateful and force people to stop hyping up the game.
This broke bad when BC stated that, instead of posting a paragrarph explaining how hatefilled CDPR is in the official game release thread opening post, he will instead say everyone is welcome to talk and discuss the game.
This ENRAGED the aggreieved members who demanded he be banned, his thread closed, the entire game thread be focused entirelyu on the trandphobia issues and that a trans member be designated the creator over BC.
They then dug into his past posts and Twitter, found him liking a video about Naughty Dog's politics (I didn't watch it so someone can explain this better) and him saying he supports Trump (he's said he just said that to troll, it's not too important)
Suddenly this became the proof they needed that BC was an undercover Trump loving hyper skilled ultra 4D chess evil mastermind and any mods who supported him were cast into the lake of fire.
Currently BC is perma banned, all Cyber threads are closed except for the pinned one about how transphobic they they think it is, and it's looking like the game might get full on banned or at most get a bare bones thread that focuses almost totally on the transphobia allegations.
That and they banned the remaining handful earlier this year for random stuff
The fake troon Lamptramp saying they're "in the first 18 hours of this" like they're sorting through the wreckage of the twin towers or something

GLAAD says that transgender people can play both trans and cis characters. Yet a cis actor is not allowed to portray a trans character. They will send death threats and cancel Scarlett Johansson, a well liked and very talented big name, from a project.
This is the problem I have with trans activism. They cannot see that they are giving themselves special rights that the rest of us do not have. They have fired so many cis actors who consider themselves allies and want to use their fame to help normalize trans folk to the general public, but their identity makes them worthy of discrimination by intersectional extremists.
Again trans folk can endlessly call me a Nazi talk shit about my religion promote the extermination of my race and county and that is ok. Demonizing people is ok for them. It is not just ok but encouraged. It is not just encouraged but demanded! Silence is violence! Yet I can’t say a joke slur from the 1990s without being hounded endlessly? That is a double standard.
That’s the issue here at Era as well. Trans activists are more than free to talk than the rest and they abuse that privilege. They allow activists to drive by ad hominem the OP, to bully and derail with impunity, to have their own dedicated thread stickied to the top of the site for months, their own personal trigger warning, and it is not enough. They want to silence the other side entirely. They do not believe in democratic free speech. They are totalitarian socialists who have decided they can talk and we cannot. That is unacceptable.

There is no way that game gets allowed to be discussed. Any person event hinting at buying it or wanting to start a thread will get permabanned. If this level of salt and rage happened over CyberPunk, Hogwarts will be literally impossible to exist on the forum without a full scale revolt by the same parties.

Yep, it's real. It seems like by now, they feel more and more comfortable with openly dismissing and hunting down Trump supporters. Like, I can't stand Trump - I think he was a horrible president, an utter moron of a human being, and I am glad he didn't get re-elected. But voting for him should not be a bannable offense, and encouraging users to basically spy and report on the political stance of others is just really, really fishy.

I want to make clear I have nothing against trans people and gave gender bent myself. The idea that all trans folk are liberal is bs if you go by “it’s a random act of biology, you don’t pick your own body”. If that is the case then half of all trans people are conservative, maybe in the closet, but they exist. Something the activists ignore.
Also important to note most of the loudest biggest trolls on Era seem to not actually be trans themselves, but progressive males LARPing as such for cred. So even when I talk shit about trans activism I probably referring to a straight man like Khrn, Lamptramp, etc most of the loudest people have openly admitted they are cis

That's what they were saying about this place back in 2017, and it was almost looking that way for a bit, but thankfully Evilore didn't just throw in the towel or embrace some of the crazies that showed up in the aftermath of the exodus and let them run roughshod on the place. Instead, he took a slow and measured approach to rebuild the place and the results speak for themselves. Definitely on a good trajectory.

I highly reccomend everyone read the OT thread and the Transphobic thread and just get a good overviuew of the two teams on Era. The OT thread was just people happily discussing a game, literally not a single cruel or nasty comment, just people of all shapes and sizes hyped for a game.
