Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Teaser Trailer

It looks like a mash-up of all the other movies.

Also, I could barely tell what was happening with how dark scenes are and them flashing in and out.

Milla looking more badass than ever before, love it. I'm still sad there will be no Jill Valentine in this one.

If there is one thing that drives me up the wall with these films is that they don't explain where the game characters go after they've were in the last film. They get dropped until they show up again and if the show up again. Jill just disappeared until she showed back up. Chris and Claire disappeared as well and no mention of what happen to them that I can remember. I guess one can assumed they're off doing their own things and we just never hear about it but it's annoying. That has annoyed me at lot for some reason.

That said I'm looking forward to this. I've enjoyed pretty much all of the films, some more then others, and I've come this far.

That trailer was hard to watch and it had nothing to do with the actual film. Whomever editing that did a bad job. All those cut to blacks and jump cuts gave me a seizure just about.

Milla Jovovich: "Hey, IGN. I'm really excited to share the first teaser TRAILER for RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER. I can't wait for you all to see how the FINAL CHAPTER in the RESIDENT EVIL series ends. Enjoy the TRAILER, IGN, and don't miss RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER in theaters soon."

I sense that she's trying to tell me something...

What in the world is with the editing for this trailer? Yikes.

January release date, huh? That's strange. Haven't all the sequels been released in August or September?

I don't anticipate seeing this in theaters, but I'll rent it or fish it out of the $5 bin at Walmart like I have with all the others. Milla is a pretty cool action star despite the films being on the stinky side of rubbish. Resident Evil: Extinction is a guilty pleasure of mine though, probably my favorite of this series.

I have never seen a Resident Evil movie besides the very first one but one part I really liked was where they lampshaded the 'deadly but easily avoidable traps' trope with the laser hallway becoming a room filling grid after having the guy dodge a bunch of single line lasers.

How sad to see a callback to that scene without any appreciation for what it made great. "You've gotten this far so you must be good. But tell me this, do you have the skills to survive my limbo laser challenge?"

Aww shit yes. I love this terrible movie series so much. I actually think the first one is a kinda good-ish B movie, but the rest have all been wonderful schlock.

First movie was legit as fuck

Let's also give it credit for relauching (at least on part) the zombie genre at the time

Maybe it's all the crazy cuts, but this actually looks slightly bigger budget than the other movies. The fight choreography doesn't look horribly stilted and the laser hallway scene looks like a reasonable recreation of the RE4 version. Maybe it's because it's been 5 years since the last one?

Still, no Wesker cobra striking mutaslisks in the white house = rent or stream

So Wesker survived the volcano in RE5, right? He just travelled to this alt movie universe. Vis a vis, he'll back for RE7, right?

Right?

That intro was god awful but lie films looks to be better than the last few awful ones. They lost guilty pleasure for me about two films ago.

This is sad:

During filming, Jovovich's stunt double Olivia Jackson was severely injured when her motorcycle collided with a camera crane, leaving her in a medically-induced coma for two weeks. Among Jackson's injuries were cerebral trauma, a crushed face, a severed artery in her neck, a paralyzed arm, several broken ribs, a shattered scapula, a broken clavicle, torn fingers with a thumb that needed to be amputated, and five nerves torn out of her spinal cord.[18] Jackson announced in December 2015 that her paralyzed left arm will need to be amputated.[19] A second accident occurred during filming on December 3 when crew member Ricardo Cornelius was crushed to death by one of the film's props, a U.S. Army issue Hummer, while on set.

Well, the laser scene in this, is a recreation of the laser scene from the first movie, which was also recreated in the third movie.

The one from the RE4 game was inspired by the first movie.
