I loved how in that one movie they undid all the shitty decisions they made with the character in the first 5 minutes of the movie. She has psychic powers and a warrior clone army, and someone realized it would be hard to challenge a character like that. I couldn't stop laughing when all that got stripped away in the movie intro. So yeah...this sounds pretty standard for the series.

I'll watch it when it comes out on video on demand. These movies are so dumb that I have to check them out. The only one I remember thinking was approaching halfway decent was Extinction or whatever one was in the desert. They're all shit though, even the first.

I'm also surprised that people watch these but the CGI films get no love. Those have actually been really cool. Shockingly well made, they're basically what I expected when I heard there would be film adaptations of Resident Evil.

I'm not. The CG movies are direct to video with almost no television marketing. The general movie going audience most likely doesn't even know they exist.

Principal photography started the first week of September, 12 weeks ago. 3 months is the average length of time for a B-tier and even some A-tier cinema releases, with more time added for stunts, so they should at least be through the majority of it. Man I'm going to watch Event Horizon again tonight.

I think Event Horizon is one of the most emotionally polarizing films I have ever watched. On one hand, the concept, practical effects, actors and art style are stellar beyond reasoning. On the other hand the dialogue and humor are so cringe inducing that it balances out. It is frustrating because it feels like a masterpiece wrapped in a thin coat of garbage and excrement.
