Looks like there will be some pretty intense sequences. I still don't like how bullet hits just result in a little splash of blood and that's it. House of the Dead had deformation, come on.

the original resident evil movie was a solid film that fit into the storyline of the game without breaking continuity.Yama said:

This better not be Capcom's lame ass attempt to be uber-badass by getting revenge on Kamiya/clover by ignoring his games.
Strangely enough, Chronicles focuses on two of the shittiest main RE's, (0 and 3). The original was decent, but 2 and 4 were the best.
It should really be 0, 1 and 2. I can't believe they ignore the best resident evil, yet opt to include the concepts from the shitty RE films.

At the moment Resident Evil 2 is still in there..or are you forgetting that RE3 started BEFORE the second game..and since they are "porting" Jill's character model, that's the one they are showing...because Carlos and Claire are not ready yet? Heck they only show the month and the year..and RE2 took place in Septmeber 1998 too...

This game looks really hot - polished as hell. Ironically I'm drawn to Resident Evil's characters and story (yeah, yeah, it's weird), but I have never played one due to the fact that ZOMBIES CREEP ME THE HELL OUT. I've had zombiephobia ever since I wandered into a hotel arcade once when I was like...5 or something and saw the original House of the Dead. Ugh.

That trailer was great. I definetly dig the new aiming reticule. The explosions look a bit off but other than that it looks great.
18. I'm not sure exactly how old I was, but I was young enough to be freaked out. I had not seen zombies up until that point. Afterwards I began seeing zombies everywhere. That said, I couldn't stop watching the game, and I'm fascinated with the genre so long as I keep a certain distance - meaning that I'm fine right up until I have to play the damn thing...pakbeka.. said:

I loved RE0, but I can see why it might be a bit unremarkable in many people's eyes. Many felt its pacing was too slow (hampered by the item management and partner system) and didn't have any remarkable boss fights or music coupled with a ridiculous premise like the leeches and such. I disagree but I can see why people feel that way.
That said, few really share his apparent hate for RE3. That's a favorite for quite a bit of RE fans.

That scene was so f*cking ruined for me. I couldn't leap off one of the buildings in time and Mike blew it up. Then I spent about an hour playing the rest of the scenario with a ridiculous amount of care to avoid dying. Then Mike died and I thought good riddance.
Otherwise I would've loved the whole Top Gun buddy-buddy thing.
