Rare was one of the most creative parts of old Nintendo. They had there own voice and own franchises. But now the biggest western voice Nitnendo has, has just been piggy backing off Nintendo franchises. Its time to create something unique to Retro.

I think we will see a teaser for it at E3 2015 (similar to the Zelda tease) with plans for holiday 2016 release. Unlike after finishing Corruption and DKCR, Retro started a new game immediately following Tropical Freeze last November and the studio seems to be in the best shape it's been in since the mass exodus.

Anyways, my top choices for their next project would be...

1) A new IP, either a horror game or a 3rd person action adventure.
2) A new FPA Metroid... Not Prime, and with a focus on exterminating Metroids in different evolutionary stages a la Metroid II.
3) A new DK 3D Platformer. Bring Wise back. Open areas like DK64, only much better designed, similar to Retro's DKC vs. RARE's.
