please tell all mods not to ban people if a pic from an old thread gets changed.
I would assumed that's he it works, but if you have an account I don't think that's the case. I have an account on tinypic, will my images ever be recycled to someone else's? Not surea how it works..
Yeah, that's my understanding. Could be wrong though, I thought tinypic deleted the url rather than recycling it.

Own your own domain, use a cheap webhost, and if they become unreliable you can migrate to new cheap servers while preserving all your links. Only way to be sure.

I've got stuff from the early-mid 2000s that I never backed up anywhere but ot was in tinypic.So imgur deletes stuff after 6 months if no recent hit? That's a relatively short time.. need something more permanent.

- The thread was already old
- The picture was from tinypic, so likely got swapped as being discussed here
- No one made a big deal about it in the thread

Any chance we could have a sticky or additional rule clarification on which imagehosting services are (of course subject to change) acceptable to use? I've just been using tinypic or imgur (only using tinypic as imgur can be weird with actually saving a picture re-sizing) out of default, but it would be good to know some that barring a change, are fine to use for posting here.

Imgur is cool but Abload is probably the best for me so far. You can upload huge files, you can easily get clickable thumbnails for your posts, I don't think they fuck with your image quality at all, ect. The only catch is that it's all in German. I don't speak any German and I've been able to use it just fine. If you've used an image hosting site, you kinda know the layout already so it's not difficult.

Yeah, I was banned once because a picture I had posted was changed to some fat people porn.
It was a while ago though.
it's not hard. Just click "Bilder von der Festplatte hinzufugen" and select your pics, then Abload (upload)!
