He was the defining musician in my childhood. It's bizarre and sad how he changed over the years. I used to be really crazy for him, but these past years I was one of those who ridiculed and made jokes about how crazy he looked.

Sometimes ago I had a nostalgic talk with my friend about MJ, I was saying "you know he's so weird these days, but back then, I was SO BIG on his music." And he said "who doesn't."

I'm really sad he died before making a comeback tour. I was ready to like him again. Rest in Peace MJ.

This nostalgia critic review of Moonwalker is 100% perfect, because you might start watching Moonwalker and think it's a horrible mess, but the moment the "smooth criminal" 10 minute sequence starts, you forget all about this horrible, horrible movie.

I still find it totally awesome after all these years.

Dude, you're making an argument for Goethe being insignificant. Or Jesus Christ. It's just weird to say that.

I mean, if the only significant world events you accept are planets being blown up or something, well, okay, that's like your opinion man, but in the end, all that defines the world is how we describe it in our terms, and if that includes tales of legends like MJ and how he changed the world, then that is what's changed.

My mom always told me that when I was like 3, I'd run around the house saying "I'm bad!" and try to do the dance from the video. Jacko was just so slick back then. The man had style and flair, you gotta give him that at the very least.

And I can't even imagine what music of the 90s and 00s would sound like without his influence. So many artists from so many genres were impacted by him.

I've been listening to his songs this morning and man, i've always appreciated how great they are but it takes an event like this to make people see how great he really was and the vast amount of classic music he has left behind.
