Wikipedia said:Before Ledger was confirmed to play the Joker in July 2006,[16] Paul Bettany,[17] Lachy Hulme,[18] Adrien Brody,[19] Steve Carell,[20] and Robin Williams[21] publicly expressed interest in the role. On not being invited to reprise the Joker, Jack Nicholson jokingly remarked that he was "furious".[22]

Ashhong said:y wouldnt the joker be in the sequel...stop spoiling!
Oldman then took a moment to think about it some more, "Maybe we don't need the Joker. Because we'll have The Riddler." Yes, Oldman alluded to the fact that The Riddler may in fact be the next on-screen Batman villain.

Ashhong said:and that matters? if the joker is still a part of the story, he wouldnt "not" be returning. they would find another actor.
I doubt Nolan would use a central villain twice. Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be my choice if he was intending on using the character again.Darko said:have you seen the movie? noone is replacing ledger, NOONE.

If Ledger is nominated for an oscar then there is no way they'd recast the role. I think it is damn obvious it will be all new villians in batman 3. And none of those super natural ones like mr. freeze or whatever. Mr. Freeze is one of the most deep conflicted villians but he is too out there in what he does and his origin to ever be used.Ashhong said:and that matters? if the joker is still a part of the story, he wouldnt "not" be returning. they would find another actor.

Ashhong said:no i havent seen the movie. thatsy i complained that you guys are slightly spoiling it by saying the joker is dealt with by the end of it. i had expected the story arch to continue. i dont want to know that he dies or whatever...

Curious about this too lolSephCast said:What time are you guys going to go to lineup before the midnight showings?
Darko said:all he said is he wants new villans for the new movie, thats not spoiling anything.
I got in line 2 hours early for a pre-screening event. I was first in line, but shortly followed by a few others. Majority of folks were there by an hour before, so 1:30-2 hours early should be good.Dead said:Curious about this too lol
I saw the movie Tuesday and am seeing it again on Imax with some friends this weekend, but wanted to see it again as soon as possible so I'm seeing it again tonight.
I figure like 1:30-2 hours early?
vatstep said:I'll probably be lining up an hour-and-a-half or two hours early tonight. At the theatre I'm going to, there are seven midnight screenings, and then 12:10, 12:11, etc. Ive never been to a midnight opening this big, so Im wondering if theyre going to have one MASSIVE line, or smaller lines for each screen. Youd think the latter, but the place is kind of small, so I dont really know how theyd manage it.
