Midnight showing of Dark Knight is $10 at my nearest Marcus, I'm just going to go tomorrow with my friends anyways. $6.75 before 5:30 or something. >_<

The Dark Knight Has Already Broken One Record - Theater Counts!

Probably mentioned, but I just read it is also mathematically guaranteed to break the record for pre-order sales according to Fandango.com (which means it has a chance, maybe a small one, at topping Spiderman 3's box office record of ~150M).

so is fandango.com an accurate display of tickets available? my theater has 6 midnight showings, all sold out according to the website.

it's possible that fandango doesn't get 100% of the tickets to sell. check with the theater itself also.

How cool is the Watchmen trailer? I'm looking forward to seeing that too. Does it show much?

It's not a quick teaser, they show all the main characters and a few sequences. Such as Dr. Manhattan's glass castle on Mars. It's an amazing trailer.

Is anyone else going to see a middle-of-the-night show? Wifey and I are seeing a THREE FUCKING FORTY FIVE A FUCKING M showing.

I'm gonna be shit at my work tomorrow. :lol

he's probably at work right now :lol

I'm working from home but my boss would have a cow if I did. :lol

Seriously though we're gonna try to go to sleep by 8pm or so, go see the movie, and maybe, MAYBE get a little rest before going to work. Though I doubt that last part will happen.

Effin IMAX theater will probably STILL be packed even in the middle of the night.

Doogie Houser as Neil Patrick Harris

Just get one of those bobbing bird head things, and do like Homer does. Set the bird to repeatedly hit N. BOSS'LL NEVER KNOW.

No. please no. No Harley. No return of the joker. No steve Carell.

You know he did want to play the Joker.

Wikipedia said:
Before Ledger was confirmed to play the Joker in July 2006,[16] Paul Bettany,[17] Lachy Hulme,[18] Adrien Brody,[19] Steve Carell,[20] and Robin Williams[21] publicly expressed interest in the role. On not being invited to reprise the Joker, Jack Nicholson jokingly remarked that he was "furious".[22]

and that matters? if the joker is still a part of the story, he wouldnt "not" be returning. they would find another actor.

have you seen the movie? noone is replacing ledger, NOONE.

I doubt Nolan would use a central villain twice. Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be my choice if he was intending on using the character again.

If Ledger is nominated for an oscar then there is no way they'd recast the role. I think it is damn obvious it will be all new villians in batman 3. And none of those super natural ones like mr. freeze or whatever. Mr. Freeze is one of the most deep conflicted villians but he is too out there in what he does and his origin to ever be used.

no i havent seen the movie. thatsy i complained that you guys are slightly spoiling it by saying the joker is dealt with by the end of it. i had expected the story arch to continue. i dont want to know that he dies or whatever...

12.09 showing bitches :D :D :D

so, facebook-gaf, how many 'status updates' have 'knight' somewhere in them?

ill count mine: 10 on page 1 alone :lol

all he said is he wants new villans for the new movie, thats not spoiling anything.

Heath Ledger is dead. That's all they were saying.

What time are you guys going to go to lineup before the midnight showings?
Curious about this too lol

I saw the movie Tuesday and am seeing it again on Imax with some friends this weekend, but wanted to see it again as soon as possible so I'm seeing it again tonight.

I figure like 1:30-2 hours early?

he said "no return of the joker". by saying that, it obviously implies that the joker might not return. if his story wasnt finished, do u think there is a chance in hell he wouldnt?

anyway, im over it.

I was wondering this too. Usually midnight premiers aren't too bad in Charlotte, so I was planning to get there about an hour early. Although this seems to be at almost Star Wars level hype (not Ep 1 of course), maybe I should bump that up a bit...

I got in line 2 hours early for a pre-screening event. I was first in line, but shortly followed by a few others. Majority of folks were there by an hour before, so 1:30-2 hours early should be good.

I'll probably be lining up an hour-and-a-half or two hours early tonight. At the theatre I'm going to, there are seven midnight screenings, and then 12:10, 12:11, etc. I’ve never been to a midnight opening this big, so I’m wondering if they’re going to have one MASSIVE line, or smaller lines for each screen. You’d think the latter, but the place is kind of small, so I don’t really know how they’d manage it.

Every theater I have been to uses one massive line. I dont think there is really any other way for them to manage it.
