She is a great actressChiggs said::lol
How she even has a career is beyond me.
I didn't proclaim it a masterpiece and i wouldn't go *that* far in hyperbole mode... yet.Solo said:Again, Im not saying the buzz or awards hype is unwarranted; I havent seen it, so I cant give an opinion either way. Im just saying that in typical GAF fashion, things are going a bit off the deep end. You can almost see the inevitable backlash thread coming in about 3 months.
Why cant people just say stuff like "this was a fucking great movie" as opposed to "this is the greatest movie ever made!" around here?
Anyways, this is probably my last post until I see it later today. Ive managed to remain relatively spoiler-free up to now, so I dont want to stumble at the 11th hour.

Oh, come on. It's not like he said the movie sucked. I'm more upset with people pissing on Maggie Gyllenhaal who wasn't a cardboard Rachel just because she's not the best looking actress in the world (they should see Secretary).giga said:
StrikerObi said:Loved this movie, absolutely loved it. Richard Roper's comparisons to Heat and The Departed are totally warranted. I mean, just wow. It's really a cinematic event.
That said, did anybody else think that Gotham felt a little "off"? The Narrows were totally non-existent (I understand they are a no-mans land after the events of Batman Begins, but they weren't even mentioned in TDK), the train was missing, we never see the under-city, and the beautiful looking Wayne Tower seems to have been replaced by a boring glass skyscraper. It looked completely sterile. Sure Wayne Enterprises probably has more than one building, but why would they move everything to another building? The whole city just felt too much like Chicago and not enough like Gotham.
It's a minor complaint, and at the end of the day doesn't affect the film at all, but it just seemed really odd to me.

=/ I cringe at the thought of it being made without Nolan. Can we please get a 3rd movie in a comic book franchise that doesn't suck for once? Please??!ezekial45 said:Considering how successful this movie will be, there WILL be a third movie. With or without Nolan.

Guzim said:When the trailers were over, we went nuts in the theater, and when the movie officially started the theater was silent. You could hear a pin drop in it.
As for the movie, honestly, this was the greatest movie I have ever seen. Everything about it was perfect, I really have no words about it. See it now, and as many times as you can.

LM4sure said:yes. In fact, I think it's worse in this film. I was complaining about that to my girlfriend as we rewatched BB. She said she didn't think it was too bad, but last night during TDK she kept leaning over and asking me why he was talking like a douche.
