RUMOR: Borderlands Remastered Edition incoming?

I don't think I could play BL2 again... but the first game I'd be happy to have a run through again, and I'm desperate to have a go on the Pre-Sequel, so... if it is all three, I'd be happy (and we'd get a lot of gameplay hours for the price).

Releasing the pre-sequel or whatever it was called on last gen was stupid, always thought it or something would be ported to current.

If it's all three, all dlc, and cost under 40, maybe.

I'd rather have a new one that is set in a more open world with multiplayer fights/skirmishes integrated into traveling around...basically what destiny said it was, but entertaining

Everything was remastered.

In all seriousness, the Metro remaster was fantastic and offered great value. As long as the price is right, keep them coming.

Didn'the really play these games, only had a quick go on the first so I may be interested in this.

I know people are moaning there's no games but I already have a hell of a backlog from this generation so I may be better off avoiding this. :(

I'd buy a Remastered trilogy with all the dlc for $60 on current gen.

I mean, we know that Gearbox hasn't even started Borderlands 3 yet, so this will keep me busy until that is out.

At this . That is only one I want to play anyways because I don't have it due to my PC not being hooked up. If anything, hope to see you there by a PC anyways.

Yeah, I thought about getting it on 360 when it came out but decided against hoping it would eventually come to PS4/X1.

It's coming.

Hell yes!

Fantastic news. Hopefully we aren't waiting too long. Would be great if we got it in the Summer.

Use the itemization system from the first game across all 3 and I'd buy it. Good luck selling a PC release though if its only adding resolution and frame rates, can already buy all 3 for less than $50.

Good idea... a year ago during software droughts, 2015 is packed with new games.

Summer says hi.

An April, July or early August release could work. Those periods don't usually have that much big stuff.

Retail version at 60$/€ with the 3 games + DLCs.

+

Unbundled versions of BL1, 2 and The Pre-Sequel (with their respective DLCs) for 20€/$ each.

I'd be pretty disappointed if BL1 is not part of that package. I felt it had slightly better locations than those present on BL2.

Awesome. I was supremely bummed when the new BL didn't come to current gen systems. I'll gladly play BL2 again (if this is part of the collection) with updated visuals, and a larger active user base.

All DLC better be included.

This.

I really hate it when you bought the base game, there's a GotY edition comes out several months after that, and you can't even upgrade your game to GotY (like Civ 5 -> Civ 5 Gold)

OH ok. You mean you should be entitled to get all the DLC for free just because you bought the base game.

<sigh>

After tales of borderlands, kinda want to check out the series, but I really don't like first person view. If it was 3rd person would be much better for me.

Bish, if you're reading, can I say what I know?

I believe it might only be the pre-sequel and Borderlands 2 was my information. I don't believe the first game is involved which is a bit odd. I'm not 100% on the original not being there, but I know for sure the Pre-sequel and 2 will be.

That would be a damn shame if the first game isn't included.

Any idea when they might release this?

Bring on the Bioshock trilogy!

If they had some way for me to port all of my characters and inventory over I would buy next-gen BL2. I just can't see myself starting from scratch and going through all those playthroughs and OP levels again. If it's just the Pre-Sequel I might buy it since I don't have as much time invested in it.

If you were gonna do that I have to ask what would be the point?

For me, after I reached the maximum level there just wasn't much else to do. I just have a hard time seeing how the game would be fun after you've done everything and have all the good loot.

If the gun play 'felt' like destiny's I would be OK with it..

I rather a destiny type of borderlands

Large world, raids, crafting, populated world, lots of loot, armor instead of 'skins' dungeons, ect ect

Didn't the pre-sequel do worse than 2? Really curious on that. Honestly I forgot about the game.

Considering that last gen sales of games have fallen off a cliff and the fact that it didn't get a PS4/X1 release I think it's probably safe to say that it did considerably worse than BL2.

BL2 sold around 8.5 millions copies. There is no way in hell Pre-sequel will come remotely close to those numbers.

One would hope it includes the Pre-Sequel, whether on its own or in a collection of all 3. During early interviews regarding the Pre-Sequel, they basically admitted they wanted it to be a low-cost development game in order to tide fans over until they could get out a proper next-gen BL3. At this point, releasing an updated version of just BL/BL2 would truly feel like a cash grab.

The best aspect of Borderlands 2 on PC was the PhysX inclusion. It had some of the best, messiest, most chaotic examples of the tech I've ever seen. But I can't imagine that will come over to the next-gen consoles unless they build an entirely new physics simulation, so if people have a decent Nvidia card I don't see any reason to pick it up.
